Customer Feedback

“Can’t speak highly enough of the gang you have sent us, glowing reports from site. We wouldn’t be so close to hand over without them so please pass on my sentiments to the guys.”

“As I was the Senior Maintenance manager on site it was clear that several tasks needed to be carried out in sequence. All the people, operators, drivers I spoke to were very engaged and keen to progress the work in a timely manner. This made my job very easy and thank you all.

The ISS staff who turned up were extremely motivated and turned what I thought was a 4-hour Mini Digger job into a 1 ½ hour manual one.”

“Thankyou all for the hard work put in over the last week. Whilst we had some early slippage everybody worked extremely hard to complete all the works safely and to achieve right time hand back.

This marks the start of the Kettering Station works will give our stakeholders confidence in the vast amount of Stations works we have to go.

Please pass on my sincere thanks to your teams..”

Remember - If its not safe or authorised, don’t do it and report it!

Another good example of a ISSL operative understanding his duties and demonstrating his professionalism and competence by having the morale courage to say no in order for work to be carried out safely.

Learning points…

A ISSL Operative arrived on-site to carry out points-op duties. He was told that once he had taken the points he was to set them and then leave them to walk approx. 400 yards to carry out trackman duties . As stated in the points-op course `Do not leave your points which are under local control and un-attended`. The operative informed that he was this request was not safe and as such was not going to do this. The Operative informed ISSL On-Call, who then spoke to the client and arrangements were agreed for the points to be manned as per the correct rules.

Managing Road Safety Risk – Increased analysis of Telematics

Processes will be implemented during Period 4 to ensure a more structured and consistent approach to investigating vehicle/ driver related complaints. Having such processes in place will better enable the validity of the claim to be identified and appropriate actions to be taken – including providing support to drivers.

From Period 4, the HSQE team will be carrying out more detailed levels of analysis of vehicle telematics to better understand our road safety risk profile as well as providing a better opportunity to identify and recognise good driving behaviours.
