Transcript of New President and CEO Welcomed - Trona Valley · PDF fileNew President and CEO Welcomed Jeremy...
New President and CEO Welcomed Jeremy Gibson officially became President and CEO of Trona Valley Federal Credit Union on February 1st, 2016. He joined the Trona Valley team in early
2000 and has held numerous positions, including Information Technology, IT Manager, and Chief Operating Officer. Jeremy has a Bachelor of Science in
Business Administration. He graduated from Western CUNA Management School with honors. In 2013, Jeremy was recognized with the Emerging Leader
Award by the Mountain West Credit Union Association. He continues to stay active in the association’s many leadership programs. Jeremy is also a
Development Educator. The National Credit Union Foundation’s DE program promotes the credit union philosophy in the workplace and in the community.
Jeremy is genuinely passionate about the credit union difference and is excited to have this opportunity. He is committed to leading a strong and secure credit
union, while ensuring a great experience for members. Jeremy is a Wyoming native and lives in Green River with his wife Aimee. He is a volunteer on the
Green River Chamber Board and he stays active with his church. When Jeremy is not working, he enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle, including fishing, hunting,
and exploring the wide open vistas on his ATV. Jeremy admits he sometimes tries to defy gravity while four-wheeling by challenging the terrain, though
physics always wins and it seldom ends well. He always has an enjoyable time.
January 29th marked the conclusion of an epic saga in Trona
Valley’s history with the retirement of Marsha Tynsky. For
nearly 40 years, Marsha’s vision has been the driving force
behind Trona Valley’s sustainability and success. In addition to
building a better experience for our members, Marsha has been passionate about preparing Trona Valley
Federal Credit Union for a new chapter. As you may have read or heard, the Board of Directors has selected
me as the new President and CEO. I am very excited for this opportunity and am confident the staff, manage-
ment team, and Board will continue to work tirelessly toward an awesome member experience.
2015 was a great year with some notable accomplishments. We opened our Mountain View Branch to better
serve our members in the valley. Shawnae Case and her staff have done a wonderful job getting involved
with the community and offering hometown smiles with world-class service. Regardless of where you live, it’s
easier now, more than ever, to carry us with you wherever you go. We have polished our smartphone app
and added mobile deposit allowing you to deposit checks from wherever you might be. If you haven’t already,
be sure to add our app from the iPhone or Droid store and watch for new features to be added down the road.
We also unveiled a new suite of youth products and programs. The programs are geared toward encouraging
youth to save, get involved with their community, and learn financial responsibility.
Trona Valley has a long history of community involvement and volunteerism. Part of the credit union differ-
ence is seen through our employees and what they do at their own behest. I’m proud to say the credit union
difference is alive and well at Trona Valley. Hometown Heroes was created by our staff to celebrate the men
and women who selflessly protect and serve our communities. The program also supports the Wounded
Warrior Project. Random Acts of Kindness was created to help make lives a little brighter. Employees, not
the management team, oversee both programs. It’s evident that they believe in the philosophy of People
Helping People.
In 2016, my goal is to steer Trona Valley toward new levels of efficiency and simplicity. Banking shouldn’t be
a hassle; it should be empowering. Whether it’s through technology that brings the credit union to you, or
being respectful of your busy schedule when you come to us, Trona Valley is dedicated to being a caring
partner and helping you achieve financial success.
As always, we are grateful for your loyalty and support. Trona Valley continues to do well thanks to you, our
members.
