What a fantastic achievement for Alice, Bridget, Isaac, Isabell and Avneet. Canteen volunteers Our canteen has been a very busy place these past few weeks where Rychelle has been working incredibly hard to get lunches out to our students. The demand has been high and it has become apparent that she will need help on Wednesdays and Fridays between 9:30-1:30. Canteen helpers (in line with our updated restrictions) are able to be at school with the principal’s permission and must sign an external visitor’s declaration every time they come to school. If you are available to help out on a Wednesday or Friday, please let our front office know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Attendance As we settle back into regular learning routines as much as we can, it is an opportunistic time to talk about the importance of punctual, regular attendance for all of our students. Being on time and regular attendance is a high priority for our school. With our current overall attendance rate sitting at approximately 78%, we believe we can take steps together as a community to improve this statistic. The importance of attending school every day cannot be underestimated. Schools play a vital role in the social and emotional development of children. Regular attendance enables students to develop a strong sense of belonging to a peer group and assists in building important lifelong skills. Keep your eye out for more attendance information as we work together towards improving our school's attendance rate. In saying this, if your child is not well enough to be at school, please keep them at home to minimise the spread of any sickness. We have created the flowchart below to assist with deciding if your child is able to attend school. Fathers Day Stall Our school will host the Fathers Day Stall for the P&C this coming Friday. A reminder to pay the $5.00 prepaid cost to minimise money handling. This can be done online through the school website or at our front office. Have a great week of learning, Joanna Henderson Principal

Great work

This week I will host our first Bronze Morning Tea for

the first five students who have achieved their

Bronze Award for 2020. What a fantastic

achievement for Alice, Bridget, Isaac, Isabell and

Avneet.

Canteen volunteers

Our canteen has been a very busy place these

past few weeks where Rychelle has been working

incredibly hard to get lunches out to our students.

The demand has been high and it has become

apparent that she will need help on Wednesdays

and Fridays between 9:30-1:30. Canteen helpers (in

line with our updated restrictions) are able to be at

school with the principal’s permission and must sign

an external visitor’s declaration every time they

come to school. If you are available to help out on

a Wednesday or Friday, please let our front office

know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Attendance

As we settle back into regular learning routines as

much as we can, it is an opportunistic time to talk

about the importance of punctual, regular

attendance for all of our students. Being on time

and regular attendance is a high priority for our

school.

With our current overall attendance rate sitting at

approximately 78%, we believe we can take steps

together as a community to improve this statistic.

The importance of attending school every day

cannot be underestimated. Schools play a vital role

in the social and emotional development of

children. Regular attendance enables students to

develop a strong sense of belonging to a peer

group and assists in building important lifelong skills.

Keep your eye out for more attendance

information as we work together towards improving

our school's attendance rate.

In saying this, if your child is not well enough to be

at school, please keep them at home to minimise

the spread of any sickness. We have created the

flowchart below to assist with deciding if your child

is able to attend school.

Fathers Day Stall

Our school will host the Fathers Day Stall for the P&C

this coming Friday. A reminder to pay the $5.00

prepaid cost to minimise money handling. This can

be done online through the school website or at

our front office.

Have a great week of learning,

Joanna Henderson

School Final – Public Speaking 2020

Congratulations to all students who have been
