Student evaluation forms revealed the following:◦ Students liked hands-on learning: Google Earth,

Xtranormal movie making and Second Life experiences were widely rated as their favorites

◦ Students liked the ability to read at their leisure◦ Students liked having ability to look at course

slides before and during face-to-face lectures◦ Powerpoint presentation with voiceover was a

class favorite◦ Class was highly adaptable to current events

Course scheduled for once a week◦ Students would tend to drift off and put it low

priority because of lack of in-class facetime with instructor

Problems with Moodle site◦ Students claimed they could not access the site

temporarily◦ Lack of storage space for large files◦ Online quizes were the largest student complaint

Podcast not popular◦ Technical topic with no reference materials that fit

the lecture was not worthwhile
