Ways To Volunteer… Join the Lincoln Homestead Master Gardener Association Volunteer at the Fair Recognize Beauty Spot City and County Beautification Projects Assist in any Extension Event Write Columns for “The Hoe Truth Newsletter” Assist Horticulture Agent Give Educational Talks to Local Civic Groups You Will Learn… Botany Propagation Entomology Soils and Fertility Plant Pathology Woody Plants Annuals and Perennials Turf Care And More! To become a Master Gardener you will complete a 14 week set of classes taught by Horculture Agents or U.K. specialists. You will then complete a 30 hour volunteer in-service in Extension within one year of course compleon. Upon compleon you will be a cerfied Kentucky Master Gardener! We will meet each Thursday evening at Saint Catharine College in room 302 Emily W. Hundley Library from 5:30 PM unl 8:30 PM January 29 th through April 30 th . All are welcome!!! The cost is $50.00 and covers the book (which you keep) and all supplies.
