We had three teams all representing the area: Girls’ Foball, Netball and Tennis. Great effo by all the children involved. Our Race for Life event will take place on Monday 18th July on the school field. A further letter will be sent giving more information about times, spectating and supporting. We have got off to a great start and donations are already coming in at a great pace! Thank you. If you are able to donate on-line, this ensures donations get to the charity quicker and more efficiently. We are also able to keep an eye on the total and see all the lovely messages of support. Visit to church

Year 2 enjoyed a visit to church on Thursday of this week. They had a lovely time and learnt about the different parts of the church.

Year 4—American Diner Day Tuesday 19th July

Year 4 children can wear red, white and blue on this day. If anyone has any American items, souvenirs, leaflets, maps please can we borrow them for the final week and we will return them to you safely. Thank you.

Please can we remind par-ents to ensure that all uni-form must be named. We have a lot of unnamed clothing at the moment.

Also, entries for the story writing and photograph competition are due in by Friday 15th July. Thank you.

Y6 County Cricket

A great effort by the Y6 cricket team who represented

‘South Ribble’ at the County Cricket Finals in Crosby on

Thursday. The children played against teams from

Burnley and Manchester until

finally getting knocked out in

the quarter-finals. Well done

to the team!

Thank you to Mr Atchia and Malayeka for com-ing to talk to the chil-dren about Islam and for the delicious dates and mango milkshake.
