Dear Potential Sponsor,

New Life for Haiti is a non-profit organization comprised of people working together to make a

difference in Haiti through many different types of community improvement projects. These

projects are designed to enrich the quality of life and reduce hardship in the Grande Anse River

Valley, a rural area south of Jeremie, the main city of the southern peninsula. Living in the

poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, most Haitian families live on the equivalent of $400

USD per year.

We are currently planning for our 15th annual fundraising gala, “Rooted in Life”, which will be

held on Saturday October 24, 2020 at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois. This event will

feature raffles, games, a program, live music, craft beer and wine, gourmet food stations and des-

serts, and most importantly, inspiring cinematography and stories of the people we serve.

New Life for Haiti relies on the generosity of business owners and community members to

support our mission. Enclosed is a list of sponsorship levels available. Please consider supporting

New Life for Haiti

It is the MISSION of New Life for Haiti to give children a chance at a future, to meet the urgent

needs of families, to foster new economic opportunities, and to influence cultural thinking toward

a sustainable change within the Grande Anse River Valley on the southern peninsula of Haiti.

New Life for Haiti has been working since 2006 in a remote and poor part of the Grand Anse

River Valley, at the end of Haiti's southern peninsula. Headquartered in the village of Marfranc,

right along the Grande Anse River, the first couple years were spent building relationships and a

house for staff and teams. Since then 6 schools have been built, farmers have learned sustainable

techniques, and homes have been rebuilt after the 2010 earthquake and 2016 hurricane. A strong

child sponsorship program helps children receive an education, food, vitamins, clothing, books and

school supplies. The School of Hope was opened, which uses alternative, interactive teaching

techniques in order to give the children of the Grande Anse River Valley a chance at a brighter

future. In this area the average family lives on less than $1 a day, and only 20% of the children

can afford to attend school, so most initiatives are aimed at helping young people grow up with

greater economic opportunity.
