Celebration of International Yoga Day

On Sunday, June 21, International Yoga Day was celebrated in the college. The

Yoga instructor Mrs. Arati Khadilkar was invited to deliver the lecture and present

demo of Yoga .She provided detailed information with demo and explained

importance of yoga in our life.

Principal of our college Dr. Pooja Narwadkar , faculty members and the students

actively participated in the program.

Celebration of Social Justice Day

On Occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, on

Friday 26, June 2015, Social Justice Day was celebrated in the college. Mr.

Pushkar Joshi, JMFC and CJJD, with our principal Dr. Pooja Narwadkar paid

floral tributes to the portrait of Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj.Our Principal in her

short speech told about life and work of Shahu Maharaj and urged that we should

follow the path .Students and staff member were present on this occasion.

Courtesy Visit of Hon’ble Shri A.D. Upadhye, Principal District and Session

Judge, Sangli

The Principal District and Session Judge, Hon’ble A.D. Upadhye paid a courtesy

visit to the college on Saturday 11th July 2015. Principal of our college Dr. Pooja

Narwadkar welcomed the guests and felicitated them. Hon. Mr. Upadhye

expressed his satisfaction about the efforts taken by the college to impart quality

legal education and praised the infrastructure and facilities developed by the

college. He further assured us regarding enhancing the co- operation in the future.

He was accompanied by senior Judges of the Sangli District Court. All the

dignitaries were felicitated by the Principal Dr. Pooja Narwadkar.

Teacher –Parents Meet

On Saturday 20, July 2015 Teacher –Parents Meet was arranged in the college.

This programme was specially meant for the students of Pre Law – I, who have

deliberately chosen law as their career. Considering their tender age, they need

proper mentoring so that they can be transformed into good legal professionals.

Principal of our college Dr. Pooja Narwadkar welcomed the parents .She explained

the role of college in the development of the students and also appealed them to

keep regular contact with the college to ensure the progress of their ward. Then the

teachers gave information about different activities of the college and short term

courses run in the college .Parents interacted with the teachers and Principal. They

gave their positive feedback regarding this initiative taken by the college.

On Thursday, 25th July 2015, the meeting on Internship Diary was arranged at the

college.Prof. Archana Thorat welcomed the students and guests.Adv.Arun Jadhav

Guru Pournima and Fresher’s Party

Guru Pournima was celebrated Friday, 31st July 2015 in our college to pay respect

to the teacher. Adv. Arun Jadhav was the Chief Guest of the function. He spoke on

the examples of true teachers and disciples in the Indian tradition. He elaborated

the virtues of a true teacher and also urged the students to dive deep in to the ocean

of knowledge.

The senior students organized a Fresher’s Party as per tradition of every year. The

programme started with the welcome of the Freshers. Various funny games were

organized for the fresher’s, which they enjoyed to the fullest. Mr. Fresher and Ms.

Fresher awards were given to the successful freshers.

Radio Jockey Prabhu’s visit to the college

On the occasion of Friendship Day on Saturday, 1st August 2015 Radio Jockey of

well-known F.M. Radio, Radio City 91.1 R.J. Prabhu visited the college. Prof.

Archana Thorat introduced R.J. Prabhu to the college students while Prof. S.G.

Sable and Prof. S.J. Aher felicitated him with bouquet and memento.

“Jay –Veeruki Jodi”, an interesting program was arranged for the students on the

occasion of Friendship Day. Prabhu had an interactive session with the students.

He shared his experience regarding his journey as an engineer to a popular media

person.

He gave them various tips to improve their quality of voice and skills in voice

modulation. Various competitive games were arranged and the students

participated in them spontaneously. The event was broadcasted on the same day

which was highly appreciated by the general public. Students enjoyed the program

whole heartedly.

Felicitation of Additional District Judge and JMFC and CJJD successful

students

The successful students were felicitated at the auspicious hands of Hon. Dr.

Patangraoji Kadam, Founder, and Chancellor of Bharati Vidyapeeth University;

congratulated all the new judicial officers and wished them a good career as judges

of the Court. He urged them to perform their duties with honour and integrity.

Adv.Jyoti Darekar was selected for post of Assistant District Judge, which is a

matter of utmost pride for the college. Adv.Madhavi Gaikwad, Adv. Rohini

Kulkarni, Adv. Ashvini Patil, Adv. Pushkar Joshi, Adv. Santaji Jadhav, and

Adv.Vrushali Sungare were selected for the post of Judicial Magistrate First Class

and Civil Judge Junior Division.

Hon. Dr. Pooja Narwadkar welcomed the guests and felicitated them. Hon.

V.A.Patil, Adv. C.D. Mane, Dr. A.L.Shigli graced the occasion.

Hon.Dr.H.M.Kadam, Regional Director of Bharati Vidyapeeth was the

Chairperson of the function.

Vidhi Manas Wall Magazine dedicated to Hon. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam-

On Tuesday, 4th August, 2015, the college has organised Vidhi-Manas Wallpaper

presentation for Co-memorate Dr.A.P.J.AbdulKalam. The Vidhi- Manas

Wallpaper Magazine was inaugurated at the auspicious hands of Mrs. V.A. Patil,

Ex. Principal, B.V’s, New Law College, Sangli. On this occasion principal Dr.

Pooja Narwadkar students and coordinator were present.

The theme for Vidhi Manas was Co-memorate Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. The

students prepared the wallpaper. Prof. S.B. Adimani was the co-ordinator of the

said programme.

Independence Day Celebration

Independence Day was celebrated with great zeal in the college .All teachers and

students were present for the program. The National flag was hoisted by Chief Guest

Mr. Gupta ,Director of IMRDASangli and National anthem was sung by all. He

guided the students on the occasion. Principal, Dr. Pooja Narwadkar , faculty

members and students were present. Breakfast and tea was arranged for all.

Sadbhavana Day Celebration

Wednesday, 20 th August on the occasion of Birth Anniversary of late Prime

Minister Rajiv Gandhi the college in association with Neharu Yuva Kendra

Celebrated ‘Sadbhavana Day’. The college organized Rangoli and Essay Writing

Competition for the students. Dr. Chandrakant A.Halingale ,(Nirmal Hospital and

De addiction cetre ,Sangli ) and Mrs. Suvarna Patki ,Police Inspector of Miraj city

were invited for the program. The chief guest Dr.Halingale delivered lecture on the

subjet ‘De addiction is the need of the hour’, Principal Dr. Pooja Narwadkar

chaired the fuction .Mrs. Suvarna Pataki interacted with the students and answered

their queries. Principal Dr. Pooja Narwadkar and Mr.Pramod Hinge also guided

students on the subject. For the success of the program efforts were taken by

coordinator Prof. Sandip Patil and Prof. Sambhaji Nikam.The program was well

attended.

Inauguration of Vidhi Pushpa 2015-16: Lecture on Consumerism

For the academic year 2015-16, Vidhi Pushpa law lecture series was inaugurated

on Thursday, 21st August at the auspicious hands of Hon. Justice Bhalchandra

Vagyani, Former Justice of Mumbai High Court and President of the State

Commission for Consumer Disputes. Principal Dr. Pooja Narwadkar welcomed the

Chief Guest, Prof.Dr.Vinod Pawar introduced Hon. Justice Bhalchandra Vagyani

.The Vidhi Pushpa 2015-16 inaugurated by auspicious Lamp lighting ceremony at

the hands of dignitaries on the dais. Hon. Justice Bhalchandra Vagyani,

enlightened students on the topic ‘Consumer Law and Utility’. He emphasized on

the importance of ethics in Legal Profession and urged students to enhance their

social value as advocates. Prof. Sanjeevkumar Sable delivered vote of thanks.

In Vidhi Pushpa, Law lecture series an informative lecture of Hon. Swapnil

Bhambare on the subject ‘How to access Manupatra’ was arranged on Thursday,

21st August 2015 .Mr.Bhambare with his lecture provided training of using

Manupatra .The students asked queries about the usage of Manupatra.the program

was well attended .

Vidhi Pushpa: Cyber Crime

A lecture was organized on ‘Cyber Crime’, on Friday, 28 th August, under Vidhi

Pushpa. The Chief Guest for the program was Hon.Prakash Gaikwad (

Dy.S.P.Sangli ) and Special Guest, Hon.Adv. Vaibhav Salunkhe from Asian

school of Cyber Laws, Pune, was the speaker. Principal Dr.Pooja Narwadkar

welcomed and felicitated the guests. She gave introduction of the guests. Chief

Guest Hon.Prakash Gaikwad shared his practical experience about cyber crime and

gave practical tips to the students about the safety measures regarding mobile uses.

Hon.Adv. Vaibhav Salunkhe spoke on the Information Technology Act 2000.The

session was interactive and student took active participation in the discussion. Adv.

Salunkhe answered the questions of the students. Prof. Vinod Pawar delivered vote

of thanks.

Vidhi Pushpa: India in Global Scenario

The lecture under auspices of Vidhi Pushpa was held at Dr. Patangrao Kadam

A.S.C College, Sangliwadi, on Monday, 31st August. The Chief Guest for the

program was Hon. Deepak Karanjikar well known actor, writer and activist of

‘Arthakranti’organization.

Principal of Dr. Patangrao Kadam, College welcomed and felicitated the Chief

Guest. Dr.H.M.Kadam, Regional Director of Bharati Vidyapeeth presided over the

function. The Chief Guest Hon. Deepak Karanjikar explained the importance of

intellectual property and innovation. He added that it is the need of the hour to

make aware the common masses and empower them. At the end of the session; he

answered the queries and questions asked by the students. Principal Dr.Pooja

Narwadkar delivered vote of thanks. Prof. Archana Thorat was the anchor .The

program was well attended.

Vidhi Pushpa: Land Laws

The lecture under auspices of Vidhi Pushpa was held at the college on Wednesday,

2nd, Septembert ,on the subject ‘Land Laws’. The Chief Guest for the program was

Hon. Shekhar Gaikwad, Collector and District Magistrate, Sangli. Principal

Dr.Pooja Narwadkar welcomed and felicitated the guests. She introduced the guest.

Hon. Shekhar Gaikwad enlightened the students about how theLand revenue is

calculated.He explained in detail the contents and meaning of 7-12 extract,which

the students found very interesting.Hon.Adv.C.D.Mane in his presidential address

appreciated the session and urged Hon.Gaikwad to deliver bigger sessions. Prof.

Manisha Kale delivered vote of thanks. The program was well attended.

Lead College Activity: Hon.Kalidas Patil

Hon. Kalidas Patil, psychologist was invited as resource person in the college for

the program organized under Lead College Activity, on Monday, 7th September

2015. Principal of Mathubai Garaware Mahavidyalaya Dr. R.G.Kulkarni was the

chief guest .Principal Dr.Pooja Narwadkar welcomed and felicitated the guests.

She introduced the guests. Dr. R.G.Kulkarni guided the students on this occasion.

Hon. Kalidas Patil spoke on the subject ‘Teacher and Student Interrelationship’

affective elements and remedies.He said that the communication between students

and teachers should be developed both should follow time managrment. The

workshop was concluded by ‘Pasayadan’. Prof.Manisha Kale delvered vote of

thanks .The students from various colleges were present in large numbers. Faculty

members attended the program.

ONE DAY WORKSHOP FOR LAW TEACHERS

One Day Workshop for Law Teachers was organized in the college on Wednesday,

30th September. The workshop was arranged for providing training to the law

teachers in Shivaji University jurisdiction on Labour Laws. Dr.Pooja Narwadkar

Principal of BVNLC Sangli welcomed and felicitated the Chief Guest

Dr.M.M.Bapat, Dean, Faculty of Law Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Dr.Mangala

Patil, Principal of BVNLC Kolhapur delivered Key Note address.For the first

session Dr.Sujata Pawar ,Principal of Ismailsaheb Mulla Law college Satara was

resource person and Dr .M.M. Bapat chaired the session.Adv.Samina Khan, senior

advocate, was the key note speaker for the second session .She guided faculty

members on practical aspects. .Hon.Narayanan, Chairman of Board of Studies,

chaired this session. Faculty from various Law colleges attended the workshop

.Prof.V.S.Pawar delivered vote of thanks.

Vachana Prerana Din

On Thursday, 15th October 2015 on the occasion of birth anniversary of

Dr.A.P.J.AbdulKalam.. , ‘Vachana Prerana Din’ was celebrated at the college with

great enthusiasm. Prof. Archana Thorat guided the students on the occasion. In her

speech she stressed on the importance of reading in our life and explained how

reading teaches us to live a life in present world of anxiety. She appealed the

students to read more to make life more prosperous and beautiful as well as rich.

Inauguration of various Short Term Courses

A formal inauguration function to start some short term courses like Certificate

course in Pragmatic English, Proficiency in the use of English, Awareness of Law

for Applied Economics, Gender Sensitization, Alternative Dispute Resolution

System, Advocacy skills and Medicine and Law was organized on 26th oct.2015 at

12:30 pm.

Hon. Dr. Gorathnath Kamble, Director of Dept.of Adult and Continuing

Education and Extension work, Shivaji University, Kolhapur was the chief Guest

of the function, while Dr.Vijay Marulkar, Emeritus Professor, Shivaji University

Kolhapur was the chairperson.

Hon. Principal of our college, Dr. Pooja Narwadkar welcomed and felicitated the

guests. Hon. Dr.Gorakhnath Kamble inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp

and declared that the courses have been formally started.

In his presidential address, Dr. Vijay Marulkar spoke about career orientation,

personality development, purposeful selection of courses, and promotion of merit

and laid special emphasis on Gender sensitization course. Hon. Prof. Sambhaji

Nikam delivered the vote of thanks, while Aishwarya Chavate was the anchor for

the function. The function was well attended.

Law day celebrations

On 26 th November our college celebrated Law Day. Photograph of Dr.

B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the constitution was displayed in the college

premises .A banner of the Preamble of the constitution and volumes of the

constitution were also displayed .Principal of our college Dr. Pooja

Narwadlar paid floral tributes to the photograph of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar .She

guided the students on this occasion. She pointed that the main objective

behind law day celebration is to spread awareness amongst the citizens in

general and particularly in the younger generation about the constitution and

it’s higher values. Faculty members, non –teaching staff and students were

present on the occasion

On 6, December 2015, on Death Anniversary of Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar

.The faculty members paid floral tribute to the portrait of of Dr.Babasaheb

SAVITRIBAI PHULE BIRTH ANNIVERSARY

On 3rd Jan. 2016 Savitribai Phule Birth anniversary was celebrated in the

college Principal of our college Dr. Pooja Narwadkar Paid Floral Tributes to

the Portrait of Savitribai Phule .On this occasion a special issue of “Vidhi

Manas “wall paper Magazine was prepared by the students dedicated to

Savitribai Phule .It was inaugurated at the auspicious hands of Mrs. Bharati

Ganpati Waze ,who works as a daily wage worker in the college premises

.The program was well attended by students and staff members .

National Level G.K.Test

As per tradition every year on the occasion of Birthday Celebrations of

Hon. Dr. Patangraoji Kadam saheb and Hon. Dr. Vishwajeet Kadam

saheb, Yashwantrao Mohite College organizes National Level Inter-

Collegiate General Knowledge Test.

This year also, the General Knowledge Test was conducted in our college on

7th January 2016. The principal and the staff members took all efforts to

make this event successful. The overall response of the students was

satisfactory.

Tuesday, 12th January 2016, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of

Swami Vivekanand , a workshop on Personality Development was

organized at the college. Chief Guest of the program was Dr.Omprakash

Gupta, Director of IMRDA, Sangli and other resource persons were Dr.Jaya

Kurhekar fromDr.P.K.Mahavidyalaya Sangli, Prof. K. Venktesh from

Director of IMRDASangli and Dr.Manjushri Kulkarni .Prof.Dr. Principal of

our college Dr. Pooja Narwadkar welcomed and introduced the guests. The

resource person Dr.Jaya Kurhekar spoke on ‘Soft Skills’, Dr.Manjushri

Kulkarni explained emotional intelligence; Prof. K. Venktesh enlightened

the students on the subject ‘Nurturing Public Speaking Skills for Budding

Lawyers ’. The students were present in large number. Prof.Dr.Vinod Pawar

delivered the vote of thanks.

Traditional Day Celebration

Traditional Day was enthusiastically celebrated in the college on 20th January

2016.Prof.Dr.Madhumita Nayak from IMRDA, Sangli was the Chief Guest for the

function.The students of our college through their performances presented our rich

cultural heritage and diversity. The students as well as faculty members whole

heartedly enjoyed the program. Dr.Madhumita Nayak in her speech gave some

valuable suggestions to the students.the winners of the competition were declared

in the individual and group categories.Prof.Manisha Kale was the coordinator of

the event.

Vishwa - Bharati Elocution Competition

On Sunday, 23rd, January 2016, Vishwa - Bharati Elocution Competition was

arranged at the college and in this relation a workshop on Elocution was also

organized at the same time.The fuction was inaugurated by Lamp Lightening at the

auspicious hand of Dr. D.G. Kanase Principal of Dr. Patangrao Kadam

Mahavidyalaya,sangli. Principal of our college Dr. Pooja Narwadkar welcomed the

guests and presented introductory speech . The competition was only for the

students of 11th and 12th std.Dr.P.P.Jamsandekar and Dr. Shobha Desai worked as

examiners for the competition.The students enthusiastically participated in the

competition. Dr. Shobha Desai and Prof. Archana Thorat guided the students on

different skills of public speaking. Prof. S.J.Aher delivered vote of thanks.

One day Workshop on Mahatma Gandhi and Civil Disobedience Movement

One Day Work Shop was organized at the college on the occasion of death

anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on the 30th January 2016. The prime object behind

the program was to acquaint the students about Gandhian thought. The Co-

ordinator of the workshop Prof. S.G.Patil welcomed and introduced resource

persons Dr. Vijay Patil,Prof Sucheta Surgihalli and Dr. Vijay Detthe .

Prof .Dr. Vijay Patil spoke on the ‘Life of Mahatma Gandhi’. Prof.Suchetta

Surghihalli enlightened the students about ‘Neo Gandhism’and Dr. Vijay Detthe

guided the students about the concept of Civil Disobedience.

At Last , there was an interaction session for the students . The program concluded

with the vote of thanks by Prof. A.A. Thorat.

On Thursday, 25th February 2016, under Lead College Activity a program on the

subject Life and Mission of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was organized at the

college.Dr. R.P.Zadbuke Principal of Kanya Mahavidyalaya Miraj was the Chief

Guest of the function. Hon. Machindra Sakate, and Hon.Shyamsunder Mirajkar

were invited as resource persons for the program. Principal Dr.Pooja Narwadkar

welcomed and felicitated the guests. Prof.Jarandikar introduced the guest and

resource persons.Hon. Machindra Sakate spoke on the life and Mission of

Dr.B.R.Ambedkar , and Hon.Shyamsunder Mirajkar explained about the

contribution of Dr.Ambedkar in role of nation building. Prof.Manisha Kale

delivered vote of thanks. Priyanka Nikam and Vaishli Kamble anchored the

program.The students from various colleges were present in large number. Faculty

members attended the program.

Jural Ostentation: PPT Presentation Competition

The Debate and Power Point Presentation Competition was organized for the

students of all law colleges affiliated to Shivaji University at the college on Friday,

4 th March, 2016 .The Chief Guest for the function was Hon.D.G.Dhamal ,District

and Session Judge ,Sangli .Hon.C.D.Mane,Ex-District Government Pleader ,Sangli

presided the function . The function was inaugurated by auspicious Lamp

Lightening Ceremony by the chief guest and other dignitaries. Principal Dr.Pooja

Narwadkar welcomed and felicitated the guests. She introduced the guest. The

Chief Guest Hon.D.G.Dhamal in his address appreciated the college’s effort and

emphasized on importance of presentation and communication skills in legal

profession. Hon.C.D.Mane in his speech stressed on the nee of proper legal

research .The valedictory function and prize distribution was organized on the

same day .The Chief Guest for Prize distribution, Hon.Dr.A.S.Shigali, presented

trophies and cash prizes to the winners .The program concluded with the vote of

thanks by coordinator of the competition Prof.S.G.Sable. Prof.Vinod Pawar

worked as co-coordinator of the competition.

On Tuesday, 22nd March, 2016 ,ADR Simulation Activity was organized for the

students of Pre Law IV year and LLB II year at the college. The faculty members

guided and encouraged the students for better performance.

Annual Prize Distribution and farewell function

Annual Prize Distribution ceremony, farewell function of final year students and

felicitation of the successful ex-students was organized on Tuesday, 29th March,

2016 at the college. The Guests for the function were Hon.C.D.Mane,Ex-District

Government Pleader ,Sangli and Adv. Arun Jadhav . Principal, Dr.Pooja

Narwadkar welcomed and felicitated the guests. Hon.C.D.Mane and Adv. Arun

Jadhav congratulated and felicitated the successful students of CJJD and JMFC

examinations. The prizes of cultural, sports and other competition were distributed

at the hands of dignitaries .The final year students were given a send off .

President of student Bar Association Anagha Mangaonkar presented the vote of

thanks.
