AvrahamBurg Former Speaker of the KnessetA member of New Israel Funds International Council, AvrahamBurg is a social and political activist and a staunch supporter of peace in the MiddleEast. The youngest Speaker inthe history of the Knesset (19992003), Burg has been a well-knownpublic leader in Israel for over 20 years and is recognized as one of thebest speechmakers in politics. He has also served as Executive Chairman of the Jewish Agency for Israel.
Since leaving public service, Burg has been a committed advocate for pluralism and tolerance in Israeli society and for the separation of politics and religion. He is author of several best-sellers, including God is Back and The Holocaust is Over: We Must Rise from its Ashes, as well as a popular television personality and frequent contributor to both Israeli and overseasmedia.

JeremyLizt New Generations Leadership AwardJeremy Lizt has dedicated the last seven years to developing our young NIF community, New Generations. Current chair of the San Francisco NewGenerations Board, Jeremy is an active ambassador for NIF speaking publicly, recruiting new membership, traveling to Israel on an NIF Study Tour, and recently co-chairing the New Generations Benefit. Jeremy holds degrees from Harvard and Oxford and is co-founder and Vice President of Engineering at Rapleaf, a web personalization company.
