Available in threesizes, Sydecar is characterised byextreme flexibility and very highperformances. The wide selectionof light sources, the optics, theinterchangeable reflectors and thelarge range of accessories give lifeto versatile, lively lighting directionsto meet the special requirements ofretail areas with high performancesand clear design to appealto customers.

Designed to ensure maximumintegration and safe use, the bodyof the luminaire can rotate in bothdirections. Flood opticThis optic produces a homogeneousand uniform distribution of the lightonto surfaces and large objects.It has a device that lets users regulatethe light beam manually so that lightemission can be adapted to providedifferent solutions; this feature isquite helpful in showrooms,exhibitions areas, and shows, wherelighting should be changed regularly,with maximum ease and speed, inorder to effectively light differentobjects that will change over time.

Spot opticThe high intensity and reduced widthof the light cone allow for an excellentlight direction with accent lighting,ideal when highlighting objects thatare smaller in size. The spot opticalso has a focusing device for thelight beam, which allows users tofind the perfect position of the lampwith respect to the reflector.

Sydecar is equipped with aninnovative wall washer screen,composed of a specular reflectingelement that creates a suggestivewall-washing effect. Available for lowvoltage halogen lamps up to100W/12V and metal halide lampsup to 150W, the wall washer screen

The innovative “Warmtone”filter for the correction of colourtemperature is a product plus of the Sydecar range.It adds value to the lamps thatneed to produce full warm tones.

Sydecar is provided with a practicaldevice to lock both the horizontaland vertical rotation that securesthe fitting in position after settingthe direction of the light beam.

Design and the large arrayof reflectors, combined withprofessional filters, allow users toobtain excellent lighting performanceand to produce beautiful chromaticand lighting effects. The reflectors,made of ultra pure aluminium withspecial facets, give off highly efficientlighting and a homogeneousdistribution of the light beam.The lamps have been placed moretowards the rear in order to diminishglare, achieving a high visual comfort.

The “Coldtone” conversion filter isideal when lighting certain objectswith cold hues, creating clear andbrilliant lighting, just like natural light.

• Rotation around the vertical axis of 360°; inclination of 90°in relation to the horizontal plane.

• Mechanical locking mechanismsfor aim for rotation around thehorizontal axis and the vertical axis.The locks are actuated by using thesame tool on two screws, one inlateral position on the shell of thepower supply box and one on thetrack adapter.

• Tecnica is equipped with an accessory-holder ring, which canhold up to three flat accessoriesat once. It is also possible to apply an external component, such asan asymmetrical screen, directionalflaps, or an anti-glare screen.

All of the external accessories canbe rotated up to 360° in relationto the longitudinal axis of thespotlight.

• Spotlights with spot optics andlamps without a reflector havea manual lamp focusing devicelocated behind the optical assembly.

Light without glare.This is the basic concept of thetechnology developed for i88.The innovative optical principleuses a special intermediate lamellarelement that guarantees maximumvisual comfort. The light flux iscontrolled by the optic and diffusedby the satin-finished flat surfacedirectly.

The indirect emission is directedand softened by the lined finishof the upper polycarbonate screen. The down and uplight emissions areeffective, pleasant and suitablefor all settings.

The upper line-finished polycarbonatescreen ensures a uniform, diffuseddistribution of the light.

The rounded transparent cornersemphasise the design, the lightnessand the elegance of the product:i88 integrates with discretion andminimum visual impact in differentsettings.

Developed to give a flexible answerto the lighting needs of work andreception areas, i88 has been designedfor surface-mounted and suspendedinstallation, in individual configurationand continuous line with track.The continuous line version allowsfor switching-on three groups ofluminaires, creating mixed lighting:

The light flux of the light sourcespositioned in the centre of the fittinggenerates a very wide and diffuseduplight emission because of thespecial curved profile of the specularaluminium reflector, and a controlleddownlight emission, thanks to thecurved reflector and the lamellarelements that reduce glare.The special distribution meets thelighting requirements of officespaces, creating suggestiveatmospheres that favour readingactivities and use of VDUs.

More than others, office areas requirespecial attention to visual comfort.Blacklight thoroughly fulfils this task,ensuring compliance of luminancecontrol standards to illuminate VDU-equipped operational areas withoutdisturbing glare.

The central position of the lamp hasbeen carefully studied to ensure thehighest visual comfort for the user:two elements on the right andleft-hand side of the lamp act asscreen, so that the lamp is nevervisible directly.

LED temperature control systemIn view of the extreme operationconditions, the electronic circuitmonitors the LED temperaturecontinuously, varying the currentintensity to maintain the averagelife LED unchanged. If the internaltemperature increases, the currentis automatically reduced to avoidthe overheating of the LED junctiontemperature.

The products equipped with theinnovative street optics for LEDguarantee very high performancesand total safety over time and indifficult environmental situations.High reliability is ensured by theelectronic control gear, the innovativeLED technology and the special liquidpaint treatment of the fittings. The environmental operationtemperature ranges from -25°Cto +32°C, but the LED temperaturecontrol system enlarges the operationrange with a partial reductionof the emitted flux.

Extreme operating conditionsThe products adjust their operationto the environmental temperatureconditions. Because of the lowjunction temperature of LEDs andthe temperature control system,the lighting fixtures can work inextreme environmental conditions,unlike for instance with fluorescence.

Paint treatmentThe special liquid paint treatment usedfor the fixtures is much more efficientthan powder paint. It is more compactand uniform, with higher resistance to weather agents and UV radiation,ensuring a higher uniformity of theRAL colour.The saline fog tests carried out in theiGuzzini laboratory ensure the totalreliability of the paint treatment.

Vibration test(defined and carried out in collaboration with

The products undergo the vibrationtest for 60 minutes with constantexcitation with 4 - 8 Hz frequency,with longitudinal axis of the prototypeboth parallel and perpendicular to thevibration direction. The prototypeshave proved to be perfectly working. The vibration test simulates the stresssuffered by street lighting luminairesbecause of vehicular traffic, subways,railway stations, etc.

The lightsources are equipped with a specialoptic that creates a wall-washingeffect and enlarges the light beamelliptically, thus favouring surfaceswith horizontal and verticaldevelopment. SAFETY SEALSIn order to guarantee operation and safety, public boards have established specific standards whichprotect the end user against risks. iGuzzini illuminazione in line with its policy of quality and safety,makes products which comply to these standards. The non-electrified components of the system(such as cover plates, couplings, etc.) cannot be considered as lighting fixtures and thereforeare not included in the standards used by the Quality Seal Institutes for their classification.However, all the components of the certified systems have been tested by the said Institutesto ensure compatibility and safety. The luminaires in the iGuzzini collection are designed in conformance with European standardsEN 60598-1 and more specific ones, therefore meeting these requirements in full, includingthe maximum temperatures allowed and considering the ambient temperature to be 25°C. For those countries or areas where the luminaires are to be installed with thermal andmicroclimatic references which are different from those foreseen (e.g.: swimming pools,premises subject to the risk of explosion, etc…), we invite you to contact us. For the correctinstallation of the luminaires, always consult the instruction sheet provided with the product.

GUARANTEEIn compliance with European norms, we guarantee our products against defects pertaining to theirconformance with the sales contract for two years after delivery of the product, as long as saiddefect is reported within and no later than two months from its discovery.
