In Him we live, and move, and have our being.” Acts 17:28
Do you expect to encounter God casually? True, God breaks in on our lives to reveal Himself. However, we are most likely to know God when we seek Him. We will know Him when we respond to His expressed love for us with faith. Jesus, by example, taught his followers to seek God’s presence through reg-ular worship. We understand that it was Jesus’ custom to go to worship each Sabbath to spend time in the presence of his Father. Apart from God we lose the larger perspective of life. Center your life on the will of God and you will come to know the abundant living of which Jesus spoke. Focus on the things of God and you will be able to let go of the worldly frustrations that can so often entrap us. Seek joy everyday. Share love everyday. Move in His presence and walk in His ways everyday. Follow the path of the Master which will lead to a rich en-counter with Jesus at the Lord’s Table on the first day of the week. What would Jesus do….we know the answer… He would join in our worship and praise as the faith community gathers together. There is no doubt that he will be present. Would he be willing to say to you, “Come, follow Me”. Invite a friend as you come to the service that seeks to lead to a higher way of abundant life.
Food For the Soul
“Like living stones be your-selves built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priest-hood, to offer spiritual sac-rifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ”.
The Summer Bible study series continues to spark interest among members of the Church. There are two sessions left in the series.
August 3rd -Christians Grow through Worship.
August 10th -Christians Grow through Service.
Each session is designed to be a single study, so if you have missed you can still attend. The Study begins at
6:28 PM
See you there!

Another VBS has come and gone. What a great time we all had! The church was "junglized" with lots of jumbo leaves and vines. There were swing-ing monkeys and even a very large giraffe. There was a zebra and a tiger, fun crafts, a safari nature where we looked for "God sightings", delicious food and tasty snacks. At Jungle Safari, kids ex-plore the nature of God and discover how God is Creator, Provider, Protector, Savior and King of us all. We visited the scriptures and heard the cre-ation story, learned how the raven brought food to Elijah, heard how Daniel was thrown in the lion's den, visited the crucifixion and resurrection story and jumped into Revelation to learn how God reigns. VBS concluded with a pizza lunch and a trip to the Oklahoma City Zoo where we had an opportunity to feed a meal of lettuce to real live giraffes. Wow! What a great 2 days. During VBS we collected school supplies to be sent to needy children in Africa. We relied on our congregation to assist us with school supply donations. Wow! This is what was collected: 80 Gideon bibles, 7 pkgs. multi-color construction paper, 19 bottles school glue, 62 glue sticks, 26 rulers, 138 erasers, 7 pkgs. markers, 13 pkgs. colored pencils, 20 spi-ral notebooks, 19 pkgs. notebook paper, 30 pkgs. pencils, 23 pocket folders, 12 backpacks, 15 pkgs. ink pens, 24 boxes crayons, 28 pair scissors and 4 pencil sharpeners. Our initial supply list was not that extensive. Just look what happens when God steps in and touches hearts. The flood gates open and blessing flow. "Thank You" to everyone that helped with VBS, before during and afterwards. Especially Vicki Eaton who was my right hand. I could not have done it with her and everyone's help. That kind of giving is what made VBS such a wonderful success! Blessings, Anthony Henderson Children's Minister
