MDCplus Server 2.7

In the MDCplus version 2.7, the Server program has been significantly modified and optimized. The main feature is that the Server was divided into two program - "Server-service" and "Server

interface". This separation has improved Server performance by reducing the load from the Server user

interface. It also became possible to remotely manage the Server program without the need for the direct presence of the system administrator in the server room.

Starting / closing MDCplus Server Since the server is divided into 2 programs - "Server-service" and "Server interface", the

distributions of each of them are unpacked into separate folders: "Server-service" – on the server computer, "Server interface" – to the computer the MDCplus will be administered from.

NOTE. The Server interface can be deployed on the same machine as the Server-service. After unpacking the Server-service, it is necessary to run the InstallProject installation wizard to

configure SQL server, database, register libraries, open ports, license file. After successful configuration, the Server-service will start, and the server console will be displayed.

NOTE. Stopping the Server is carried out from the Server interface. From the server console, it is

possible to close only the server process in two available ways: 1. Move the cursor on the last line in the console, enter the «EXIT» command, and then press

"Enter". In this case, the console will display lines of the Server closure steps.

2. The standard way is to close the console form using the control button.

Starting the Server-service can be done either from a shortcut or manually launching the Industry.Server.exe executable file, located in the Server-service folder.

Working with Server interface. The launch of the Server interface takes place from a shortcut or via the Industry.ServerUI.exe

executable file. NOTE. Server interface needs to be launched only after successful launch of the Server-service. Further work with the Server user interface is carried out as in earlier versions of the MDCplus. Note. Closing the Server interface does not close the Server-service. It is not recommended to

run multiple instances of the Server interface. Some features of installing Server programs If an inappropriate version of the SQL Server program has already been installed on the Server

computer, the installation wizard will install the required version. If a newer version was installed than MS SQL 2008 R2, then reinstallation will not be performed.

It is required to have the NET.FRAMEWORK 4.6.2 library or newer version. For example, in Windows 10 the default version is 4.7.2.

To set the interface language in the MDCplus it is necessary to add the attribute in the properties of the shortcuts of the programs “Server-service” and “Server interface”

--lang=Х,

where Х corresponds to the required language. For the Russian language – ru, for English – en, for

Chinese – zh-cn, for French –fr.

5

NOTE. In the "Target" field, the added attribute is separated by one blank character – .exe«blank

character»--lang=zh-cn If the attribute is added incorrectly, then by default the system will be launched in English.

1 Filtering machines by employee in the "Real time" section

In the "Real Time" section on the "Linear diagram" tab, a new "Worker" filter has appeared. Now it is possible to observe the work of the machines where the selected worker was registered in the specified time interval. The linear diagram is modified as the data is updated - when a worker registers on a new machine, this machine is added to the linear diagram. The reverse is also true if the worker has completed work on the machine, then after a certain time the machine no longer appear on the line diagram.

2 Performance dashboard

The " Performance dashboard " section displays the downtime reasons, even if the machine is switched off. Such situations may occur if continuous repairs are in progress. In this case on the output device (TV) for the machine off, the downtime reason is displayed but not the “Machine is switched off” state.

Also, for the custom screen frame added the ability to set the width of the columns.

6

3 Work schedule

In the “Work schedule ” section on the “Holidays and exceptions” tab, a line was added with the date of the edited day.

4 Rename “Users and Roles” section to “Users and Permissions”

For the convenience of users, in the MDCplus Server program, the «Users and Roles» section was renamed to «Users and Permissions», and the «Roles» tab was renamed to «List of user groups».

These changes were introduced to distinguish the concepts of «Role» and «User group». «User» is an employee's account. For «User» not only authorization is configured, but also access

to system sections. The user is assigned only one employee. «Access Right» is the only element of the system responsible for accessing to any functionality or

data. Access rights can be differentiated both for an individual user and for several. For this purpose, «Group of users» are created. Users of these groups who perform the same type of work and use the same sections of the system, confer the same rights. In this case, the user can fall under several «Group of users» at once or not to fall under any of them.

7

The «Role» concept is used to provide workers with access to equipment, determine the specifics

of work on the machine, etc. It is set in the «Directory of roles» in the MDCplus Client.

If the worker does not have a role on the machine, he cannot register on it, but if he has access

rights, he can observe the operation of the machine.

5 Video monitoring. Displaying subunits for video monitoring settings

In the "Directory of video cameras" for a video monitoring system settings it is possible to select the machines not only of the main manuf. unit, but also of the subunits, that allows to set the control on all production areas.

6 Measured parameters

Breaking the connection or the «Machine is switched off» state is displayed on the graphic by image interrupts, as shown in the figure below. In the earlier MDCplus versions the system itself completed the graphic analyzing the previously obtained values.

8

In cases when several values of signal distortion occur at once for a polling cycle, then the graph

shows the most priority of them - a surge. The second priority is a break, and fall has the lowest priority.

7 Displaying operator initials working on a machine with a direct protocol

On the "CMP" the machine can be "busy" and "vacant" The “Machine is busy” state occurs in two cases - when on the “Monitoring settings” tab in the “Downtime reasons and registration input device” field, the CMP is not selected, or when an operator is registered on the machine. In the second case, it also indicated who exactly occupied the machine.

In previous MDCplus versions, information on who occupied the machine was not displayed when

working at the CMP. Because of this, there were difficulties in finding a registered operator. Registration of an authorized user looks like in earlier versions. Additionally, the sorting of machines on the "CMP" is implemented – the machines are displayed

in the same order as in the "Real time" section.

8 Rename “Graphics” tab to “Liner diagram” in the “Real Time” section

For a correct understanding of the purpose of the system interface elements the “Graphics” tab in the “Real time” section has been renamed to “Line diagram”.

9

9 VLC Player «Silent Installation»

To work with the «Video monitoring» option, it is necessary to install the latest version of VLC Player. In earlier versions of the program, when detecting an outdated version of VLC Player, the system generated an error message and closed the MDCplus Server program. Now, when an outdated version is detected, the system notifies the user and offers to update the player, after removing the old version. The removal and installation of VLC Player takes place in “silent mode” - automatically, without user intervention.

If the user refuses to delete the old version of VLC Player or an error occurs during the installation,

the system generates a notification message and the sections of the «Video monitoring» option is not displayed.

10 Unplanned technical work

In the MDCplus it is possible to plan the technical work to support the work of the MDCplus Server program. Such works are entered by the user into the “Technical works” journal by clicking on the “Plan…” button.

Then, the system notifies all users on planned technical work on the Server.

However, there are situations when a forced shutdown of the Server is necessary, for example,

when adding a new state. For such cases, the “Unplanned technical work” concept has been introduced. After stopping the Server in the "technical work" journal unplanned technical work recorded with the "In progress" status.

And in the MDCplus Client displays a message of unplanned technical work. The start date is the

server stop time; the end date is the time formed an hour after the start of the unplanned technical work.

10

During technical work, all users, except the system administrator, are prohibited from editing the

MDCplus Client sections. If the Server stops at the moment when the user edits a section, the changes made are not saved. It is possible to complete unplanned technical work only by starting the Server manually, and not

by pressing the “Complete” button, as is the case with the planned technical works. When the Server starts, unplanned technical work goes to the “Completed” status and the current time is recorded on the end date.

11 In the "Users and permissions" section created a filter "Manuf. unit"

In the "Users and permissions" section filtering of users by «Manuf. unit» is implemented. The «Manuf. unit» filter was added on the «Select users for the group…» form, when editing a group of users.

Filtering considers situations when no employee is assigned to a user, so the option “Users without

linked employee” is available in the drop-down list.

Users are sorted in two form fields at once for available and already selected employees. The filter

displays the results of a partial match. When changing manuf. unit, all settings are reset.

12 The "Statical reports" section improved.

In the “Statical reports” section, when the report is scaled up (by shifts / by days / by quarters / by years), the system automatically extends the observation period, notifying the user on it.

11

13 Production task management – Individual shift task

The shift task is necessarily assigned to a specific machine the parts will be manufactured on. But setting the operator immediately to complete the task is no longer necessary. Therefore, on TVV-10, CMP and CMP 2.1 (WEB) both the shift tasks that are assigned to specific operators, and the tasks that are not assigned to any one operator at first are displayed. Any operator registered on the machine will be able to perform a shift task for which no performer has been assigned. As a result, the shift task for this machine is automatically assigned to this operator.

NOTE. On the basis of a shift task without an explicitly specified operator, it is impossible to create an individual shift task.

14 Technical directories – Technological operations directory

In the "Technological operations directory" it became possible to speed up the entry of information by copying data previously entered for another part.

By clicking the "Copy from another part" button, the "Part selection for copying technological

operation" form opens. Along with the technological operations, the placings assigned to them are copied. However, the placings codes, unique integration data, and the NC programs linked to the placings will not be copied.

12

15 The "Integrated report on produced parts" improved.

The “Notes” column has been added to the “Integrated report on produced parts”. This column is filled at the discretion of the user, for example, can be used to account for produced workpieces. The column is optional.

16 AI-01D interface adapter for direct connection to Siemens controllers

The AI-01D interface adapter is intended to connect industrial MPI (message passing interface) to a local network and exchange data with the MDCplus Server via the Siemens S7 protocol.

AI-01D was developed on the prototype of the IBH Link S7 ++ adapter and is a complete replacement for both the functions performed and the support for working with protocols. Using AI-01D allows you to reduce the cost of the device and not depend on the conditions of the supplier.

17 Direct OPC Classic protocol developed

To ensure the work with the IFM VSE100 device, the direct protocol OPC Classic has been developed. For successful work, it is necessary to install the IFM OPC-server, connect the VSE100 device and add the OPC Classic direct protocol. VSE100 is configured using the Efector octavis VES003 program. Data exchange over the network using the OPC Classic protocol is based on the TCP transport protocol. Unambiguous identification of the device in the local network is carried out by its IP-address. The identification of the OPC-server is also carried out by IP-address or a unique identifier (for connection within one computer).

18 Work of protocols in separate processes

Improving the stability of the system by loading direct protocols in individual processes.

13

19 Switch from the «Working history» to the «Video Monitoring» section.

Switch from the “Working history” to the “Video monitoring” section has been implemented. Filters are automatically applied during switching.

20 Display data of machine state when watching a video.

Output of a linear diagram and states when viewing "Video from history" or "Online video" has been added.

21 States, downtime reasons, parameters. Integration field.

In the MDCplus Server and MDCplus Client – "States, causes of downtime, parameters" section –«State» or «Downtime reason» forms, the «Integration» field was added. It is used to editing IntegrationID of state or downtime reason manually for the further integration.

22 NC program transfer to CNC console via FTP protocol

Setting transfer NC program via FTP with login and password has been added. It is possible to check the connection when setting up.

14

23 The ability to add subfolders from the MDCplus Client

Adding a subfolder or changing its name is called via the context menu (right mouse button).

24 Multiple NC program file transfer to Server

This type of transfer is possible only through the network directory (for example, transfer of NC program from TVV-10). Implemented transfer of all files in one request.

25 French language support

Now the MDCplus supports four languages: Russian, English, Chinese, French.

26 TVV-11 monitoring console runs on Linux

The functional is identical to TVV-10.

27 The implementation of connections using 4G

Connecting remote objects via 4G wireless channels.

29 Technical diagnostics module

The technical diagnostics module (control of the technical condition of the processing equipment) in the MDCplus performs the following tasks:

• Failure prediction; increase equipment repair interval. • Organization of maintenance and repair of the actual state of the equipment • Reduction of operating costs and losses by eliminating inefficient unplanned and planned

repairs. 29.1 Definition and purpose of technical diagnostics

Technical diagnostics is a field of science and technology that studies and develops methods and means of determining and predicting the technical condition of mechanisms, machines and equipment without disassembling them.

The main objectives of the technical condition (TC) diagnostics of equipment are: • prevention of sudden halting and failures in the operation of all its assemblies, mechanisms,

control systems. • a warning on the violation of the accuracy characteristics of the forming assemblies of the

equipment. 29.2 Stages of technical diagnostics

There are three stages of technical diagnostics:

1. Determination of the nomenclature of defects that pose the greatest danger to the functioning of the equipment.

Defects are detected during operation and in the process of equipment diagnostics. The MDCplus collects the statistics of the most frequent halting and failures with classification by assemblies and parts and performs analysis of changes in accuracy characteristics.

To determine the defects of various equipment used in an industrial enterprise, it is required: • to classify both the equipment itself and the assemblies, and the units and parts included in

them; • to classify the technological parameters of the equipment, affecting its accuracy; • to fix at each equipment failure the name of the defective assemblies and part or change

the accuracy of the machine. 2. Identification of diagnostic objects and diagnostic parameters corresponding to defects. Diagnostic objects are assemblies, units or parts, accuracy characteristics of forming assemblies,

which are the causes of equipment failure and are subject to constant or periodic diagnostic control.

17

For each object, diagnostic parameters characterizing the technical condition of the object are determined. For each diagnostic parameter three threshold values are set: Norm, Warning and Emergency. When selecting parameters, preference is given to those that are largely dependent on defects and to a lesser extent on the modes and conditions of work, and also allow the detection of defects at the initial stage.

3. Measurement of diagnostic parameters and prediction of the reliability and residual life of equipment assemblies.

Measurement of diagnostic parameters can be performed when installed on the machines of stationary devices for continuous monitoring or with the help of portable devices. The collection and processing of data received from control devices is performed by the industrial equipment monitoring system.

To predict the reliability and residual life of equipment assemblies, monitoring or diagnostic methods are used:

• Monitoring method. In the system trends of changes in diagnostic parameters are created and prediction of changes in trends is formed. On the basis of this, the time for the diagnostic parameters to reach the “Warning” and “Emergency” thresholds is predicted.

• Diagnostic method. The intelligent control device (stationary or portable) independently analyzes the measured diagnostic parameters and transmits the time to the system to the start of the “Warning” or “Accident” event in the machine-hour.

Information on the technical condition of the equipment ("Norm", "Warning", "Emergency"), the forecast of reliability and residual life is provided to users in various analytical reports. Using data on the residual life of the equipment, a plan is developed for the maintenance and repair works by actual condition.

29.3 Directories and journals improvement of the "Downtime management" module 29.3.1 Directory of equipment

Diagnostic objects and their diagnostic parameters are set in the “Directory of equipment” on the “Technical data” and “Technological data” tabs.

The list of units and parts that are part of each assemblies is indicated for each machine in the “Directory of equipment” on the “Technical data” tab.

Some of these units and parts are defined as technical diagnostics objects (TDO), that are continuously or periodically monitored. In this case, a checkbox is set for this part on the Technical Data tab in the «TDO» column.

For each assemblies (part, unit) that is the object of diagnostics, one or several diagnostic

parameters are specified.

18

For each diagnostic parameter, its properties are specified

The main properties of the diagnostic parameter are follows: Data source. This property determines exactly where the diagnostic parameter value is taken. The

diagnostic parameter may be in the system: • measured parameter, i.e. taken from the NC unit or the machine controller, or monitored

using sensors installed on the machine (current, temperature, etc.) • signal from stationary installed vibration monitoring devices. For this option, in the

«Editing the parameter of technical diagnostics» form, the device and object of vibration monitoring are specified. Vibration monitoring devices and objects are pre-configured in the “Vibration monitoring” section.

• signal from portable diagnostic devices. In this case, in the «Editing the parameter of technical diagnostics» form, the type and model of the portable device are specified, as well as the monitored parameter. When choosing a “ball-bar” device, data entry into the system is performed using a special file, that is formed by the “ball-bar” device during machine diagnostics. Preliminary all portable devices must be specified in the «Directory of portable diagnostic devices».

Method of measurement. A «monitoring» or «diagnostic» control method for monitoring a diagnostic parameter is selected. When using the monitoring method, the trend start date is set.

The threshold values of the diagnostic parameter. The values of the «Normal», «Warning», «Emergency» levels are set.

29.3.2 «Technological data» tab In the “Directory of equipment” on the “Technology data” tab, various parameters are displayed

for this machine, including parameters characterizing the accuracy of the equipment. These accuracy parameters can also be set as diagnostic objects — set the checkbox for them in the "TDO" column.

19

When specifying diagnostic accuracy parameters, additional information is indicated.

As a rule, diagnostic parameters that determine the accuracy of the machine are measured using

special portable devices. After selecting the type of portable device select the diagnostic parameter that corresponds to the accuracy parameter of this machine. This diagnostic parameter is monitored by the selected device.

It is necessary to specify the control method The values of the measured parameter are specified: «Norm», «Warning», «Emergency». Set the start date o of the trend when using the monitoring method.

29.3.3 Directory of portable diagnostic devices Devices for measuring diagnostic parameters can be stationary (permanently installed on

machines) and portable. Setting of stationary vibration monitoring devices, as well as their diagnostic parameters, is

performed in the “Vibration monitoring” section. Used portable devices are recorded in the "Directory of portable diagnostic devices."

For each device, a list of monitored diagnostic parameters is displayed. Data input, received from

the device, may be performed manually 29.3.4 Request log. «Repair incident» tab

In the MDCplus during equipment operation all equipment failures are recorded and classified. In the “Request log” on the “Repair incident” tab, the failure or defect that caused the machine to stop and repair is described in detail.

20

In MDCplus (version 2.7+), in addition to the defective equipment assembly, the failed unit or part

is also indicated, as well as the reason for the equipment failure. In the search form of the repair incident, the ability to search by unit/part included in a typical

assembly is added:

29.4 «Technical diagnostics» section

The section consists of two subsections, which are opened using tabs: “Technical condition monitoring" and "BallBar Renishaw diagnostics".

The “Technical condition monitoring” tab is intended for viewing and analyzing all diagnostic parameters that characterize the diagnostic objects specified in the system. This tab allows you to:

• viewing the history of diagnostic parameter values for technical diagnostics objects (TDO) specified in the system;

• manual entry of diagnostic parameter values in the case of their monitoring using portable devices

• edit and delete data entered in various ways. On the right, the tab contains a list of diagnostic objects and diagnostic parameters. To view the

data, select the time interval and check the required diagnostic parameters from the list on the right. Data is displayed as a chart or table.

21

Also, the chart has the ability to display the calculated residual life or remaining time of operation

of the diagnostic object for a given diagnostic parameter. To display the residual life chart, it is necessary to set a checkbox in the “Remaining time” column and click the “Apply” button. The chart is displayed in blue, and a timeline appears on the right.

NOTE. The residual life chart displays the value in hours to the nearest reference level. First, the

remaining time to the “Norm” level is shown, after – the “Warning” level, and then – the “Emergency” level.

Using the "Add", "Edit" and "Delete" buttons data can be edited or deleted. If data has been added or modified manually, it is marked with an asterisk in the table.

For manual data entry, use the “Add” button from the “Table” tab and “Add data” from the «Chart»

tab. Manual data entry is best done on the "Table" tab.

22

To do this, select the name of the equipment, then a list of its diagnostic parameters will be displayed in the right form. After selecting the required diagnostic parameters by setting the checkbox and pressing the “Apply” button, the columns with the names of the parameters will be displayed in the table. Next, it is necessary to click the "Add" button and specify the date and value of the parameter in the appeared form. Then click the "Apply" button.

BallBar Renishaw usage

The second tab presents the functionality for working with the BallBar Renishaw diagnostic system for the technical condition of machines.

The file formed by the BallBar system when performing machine diagnostics can be uploaded to view information and further upload data to the MDCplus. In this case, the form on the left indicates the date of diagnosis and the date the file was uploaded. The «Diagnostic table» tab displays diagnostic parameters and their values taken from the machine.

The «Test conditions» tab displays information on test conditions. Preview allows you to

familiarize yourself with the contents of the file and decide on the data upload to the MDCplus.

23

After uploading the file, it is possible to enter BallBar data into the MDCplus. To do this, it is necessary to select the machine the testing was performed for and click the "Add" button. In the appeared form, it is necessary to specify the device the data was received from, set the file name, select and upload the desired file.

After uploading the file, additional information on the machine, the worker who performed the

diagnostics, and the date of diagnosis will appear in the form. On the “Chart” tab, you can view the diagnostic parameters taken using the BallBar device for the specified machine and period. To do this, select the equipment, the viewing period, set the parameters using the checkboxes.

For convenient viewing on the chart, it is possible to choose no more than four parameters. Click

the "Apply filter" button to display the data in the table and on the chart. The values of 4 parameters for one measurement are shown below.

The button “Edit deviations…” allows you to set possible deviations (thresholds) of diagnostic

parameters, that are then monitored.

If deviations are exceeded, corresponding messages are displayed.

24

A chart of one of the diagnostic parameters with deviation monitoring can be displayed on the

screen by selecting this parameter and setting the “Display deviations” checkbox.

Reports for Technical diagnostics module

Report on failure of typical equipment assemblies

The report is a statistics on the number and total time of emergencies with distribution by assemblies and units of equipment.

Report on the technical condition of the equipment

The report provides users with information on the technical condition of the equipment at the current date of the report.

25

The report includes two tabs: “Report on the technical condition of the equipment” and “Report on the residual life of the equipment and its assemblies”, where data on the values of diagnostic parameters and on the calculated residual life of the equipment is displayed.

On both tabs, for each piece of equipment, diagnostic objects and diagnostic parameters are

displayed, that currently have the worst performance separately in terms of accuracy and reliability. If the cell in the table is red, the diagnostic parameter values exceeding the “Emergency” level are fixed. If the cell is yellow, the «Norm» is exceeded and the brown one is above the «Warning» level If the cell is white, the parameter has not exceeded the «Norm».

The second tab displays the remaining time to the nearest level (before exceeding the norm, warning or emergency). Remaining time is calculated as part of statistics calculation.

For this report, the last emergency, warning or exceeding the norm is selected as the worst case.

If at the same moment there were emergency in two parameters - their comparison does not occur, the one that was first entered into the system will be displayed. If there is no excess of levels, the worst parameter is the one with the lowest remaining time.

Annex B. Statistics calculation for technical diagnostics

Calculation of statistics for the diagnosis of the technical condition is made on calendar days, excluding holidays or weekends. This means that for the diagnostic parameters obtained by the monitoring method from the measured parameters or vibration monitoring, the average per calendar day will be calculated if the measurements for these days were taken.

The values of diagnostic parameters can be obtained in automatic mode or by importing from files, can be corrected by the user or deleted manually. At the same time, previously obtained parameters remain in the system, but when recalculating statistics, manually entered data are considered.

If a point was manually added/deleted in the middle of a certain period, it is required to recalculate the statistics for the entire time starting from this date, since the data entered will affect the calculation of the trend and residual life.

The trend is calculated according to linear regression. Accordingly, the residual life (remaining time) is calculated from the trend. The remaining time is limited to 10 years and does not rise above. If the trend line does not increase, but decreases, the remaining time will not be calculated. Similarly, for the level of the emergency - there is no remaining time.

An example of the calculation of the residual life (remaining time). There is a certain parameter of technical diagnostics with the following data:

01.01.2000 1mm 02.01.2000 2 mm 04.01.2000 4 mm

Suppose the value of «Norm» is 5 mm, «Warning» - 10 mm, «Emergency» - 20 mm The trend will be a straight line, which in this example simply connects all points. Then the

remaining time to the “Norma” level will be as follows: 01.01.2000 It is impossible to build a single-point

trend 02.01.2000 3*24 hr 04.01.2000 24 hr

Suppose the parameter has already exceeded the «Norm». Now the remaining time will be considered before the “Warning” level.

05.05.2000 5*24 hr

01.06.2000 4* 24 hr

01.07.2000 3 *24 hr
