Weve completed several books of ECCE practice tests, but my

students still dont remember the vocabulary and the finer grammarpoints that are often tested in the exam. What can I do?

Michigan Skills Builder for the ECCEwas written to help studentsovercome this common problem. It consists of 6 units and 2 teststhat build up and consolidate the vocabulary, grammar and otherskills students need to pass the ECCE.

What does the Skills Builder do?

It expands the students active vocabulary through carefulpresentation and systematic recycling in a subject-related context. The 12-page vocabulary sections in each unit are based onthe simple premise that only through constant recycling in ameaningful context can students develop their active vocabulary.Focusing on one of the key topics that students often encounterin the ECCE and other standard exams, each section contains acarefully constructed series of definition-generating, blank-fillingand exam-style multiple-choice exercises that present, practiseand recycle almost 200 topic-related lexical items per unit.

It consolidates the students grammar skills through revision andECCE-style exercises. A Grammar Spotlight in each unit coversmajor grammar items, such as verb tenses, question formation, conditionals, wishes, modal verbs and inversion. Each sectioncontains 4 pages of review and practice exercises as well asECCE-style questions.

It provides review and exam practice through 2 full-length ECCE-style progress tests.

Other features include an English-Greek glossary at the back of thebook, an audio CD with 2 full listening tests and a Teachers Book, with answer key and listening tapescripts.
