New Distributor Portal and Online Ordering System Instructions

Superior Battery Manufacturing Company, Inc. is proud to announce the new Distributor Portal and Online Order-ing System custom designed for you our valued partner. The following is a step-by-step guide on how to use this system designed to optimize your time and ease of placing, tracking and maintaining orders to Superior Battery.

Step One is to log into the portal using your username and inital password. Your username will be your email address. Your password initially is set by SBM but you will have to change it on first log in to whatever you would like that is at least six characters long, including alpha and numeric characters and can contain special characters such as ^@!$.

Once in the portal you will have the ability to change your password anytime by clicking on the “change password” link.You may also notice the following “distributor only” information:

Step Two is assign the order a purchase order number. This is an alpha/numeric field, therefore you can make this your standard purchase order number or you can type unique text to identify the order to whatever works for your company. Also confirm the option of “Junk Battery Back haul” and determine if this is a full, partial or LTL load. Keep in mind some of these options are customer specific and may not display on your screen. Then select your custom ship-to location.

Step Three is select your choice of delivery date. This will be based on the “Order Lead Time” and will be an approximate date of receipt of order. A confirmation and further emails from SBM’s customer service team will be forthcoming for the exact date to expect your order. Type any special instructions in the window provided. At this point you are ready to select your product.

Step Four, placing your order for selected items. Notice there is a selection to filter between Black Box and Superlex branded products. Again this may not be visible to all distributors as it is based on your purchase needs. The selection area is categorized by product type and each section expands by clicking on the section header. You can order by pallet or by individual battery. Notice as you order product the truck icon at the bottom begins to fill up, order button is grayed out until you have reached truck load status based on load type selected (full has weightrange requirements whereas partial/ltl havenone and the submit button is ready once anyweight is added). Once you have reached minimum truckload weight the truck color turns to green as well as the “Place Order” button. The total weight for your order is displayed to the left of the truck, as well as minimumweight for full load if selected.You are now ready to place the order by clicking the “Submit Order” button. If you discover errors and want to start over, there is a reset button that eliminates all selections (po #, instructions, load type,etc are all cleared out.).

Step Five is to review the summary status of the order. All selected product is displayed to the right of the screen. The left side will show your purchase order information, back haul status, order type, requested delivery date, ship-to location and special instructions. If you need to make changes, simply click the “Wait... I want to change something” and you will be returned to the previous screen.If everything is accurate, click the “Submit Order”button.

Final Step A pop-up box gives you a notice that your order has been placed.You will receive and email confirmation within an hour from‘noreply@superiorbatteryinc.com’. This email is automated and you may find it in your SPAM or JUNK folder, so please check these areas before reporting a problem.
