The Slovak specimen corresponds quite well with the holotype. It is also similar to the little known species Mycetophila linlbata Lundstr6m, 1911, which was described from Hungary, but the type material is probably destroyed or lost. No other material of linlbata is known to me, so I could compare the Slovak specimen only with the original figures by Lundstrom (1911). As there are sollle small differences on the tenninalia, mainly the absence of tluee thick apical setac on the gonostylus in the syecinen figured, I prefer to consider both spe- cies distinct, at least as long as further material is collected. In any case, new species for Slovakia.
