Courses designed by employers, delivered with employersWe’ve completely transformed our courses to make sure that all our students learn the things that employers are looking for. Our academies work with local and regional businesses when designing courses to make sure that we stay completely up to date with what’s going on in the industry so when you leave us your skills are current, relevant and fresh.

at the heart of the Creative QuarterIf you’re looking for a course to springboard you into the creative industries then ncn is the place for you. That’s because our ncn City campus is situated right in the heart of the city’s new Creative Quarter. This is a zone in the city centre that has been earmarked for around £60m of government funding to support the creative and digital media industries – ncn and its students are directly benefiting from this funding so there’s no better place for a creative student to be.

choose to study here with us, you’ll get real business experience.

If you’re into motor vehicles, you’ll train in a real commercial dealership, accredited by Renault, Nissan and Chrysler Jeep. If you’re into graphic design or media you can train in our full service marketing and design agency Inspire Design, or if you’re into making a name for yourself as the founder of the next social media revolution, you can train in a specialist social media agency. We’re developing new companies all the time so watch this space.

At ncn we’re still buzzing about the success of an all

girl team from the College who headed to Twitter’s HQ

in San Francisco to showcase a crime fighting app they

developed in partnership with Nottinghamshire Police.

Their company Tek5 was selected as one of ten finalists

in the global Technovation Challenge and was the only

team from the UK to make it to the final stages after

competing against 120 teams from 19 countries. They’re

competing for a $10,000 investment in developing their

app. Notts Police have said that even if the team aren’t

successful they’ll still develop the app and try to roll it

out nationally.

At ncn we celebrate all our student successes.

Our students are truly excellent!

“We’re delighted to be working with ncn in this partnership. We provide over 250 jobs across a whole range of areas from catering and hospitality, marketing, IT, events management, technical and AV and of course the many roles that enable us to keep our ice rinks running throughout the year. ncn learners will gain a useful insight into what we do at the Arena but more than that, they will receive that all important real work experience, supported by our professional staff and in an environment that is fast-paced and challenging, yet exciting and extremely rewarding.”

ncn Music Performance student, Dave Everitt, 22, said:

“The opportunity to work with industry experts at such a well- known venue is fantastic. I’m particularly interested in learning about event management and the business side of things, but I’m also looking forward to gaining experience in a variety of different job roles because this will help to enhance my CV.”

ECO COURSES FOR an ECO-COnSCIOUS WORLDncn’s STEM Academy is trailblazing a growth in specialist training to support Nottingham’s rapidly expanding green/ecotechnology industries.

ncn Basford Hall is leading the way on an exciting new concept in low-carbon, energy efficient housing – the result of our new collaboration with Eco Modular Housing (East Midlands).

A prototype two-bedroom contemporary show home, built using a recycled shipping container, was installed on the site in just three days. Boasting high-quality kitchen units, interior finishes, furniture and carpets, the unit is built to National House-Building Council(NHBC)standards.

The prototype marks the first phase of the project which teaches students about environmentally-friendly construction and students will be involved in the next phase which will see them get to grips with real construction projects from planning to completion, including surveying, design and project management.

This is a huge growth area for jobs in the UK and by providing relevant industry recognised training and qualifications in this area, we’re giving our students the very best chance of success in their chosen career.

As you’ll see, our campuses are located across Nottingham. Each campus has a different atmosphere, but all offer a friendly ncn welcome.

We’re easy to find on foot, by car, bus or tram. Some of our campuses are near train stations too. The map above will help you to see where to find us.

ncn is a big college, but most of our campuses are fairly compact so you won’t have any problem finding your way around. If you need to travel between campuses, there’s the Hopper, a free minibus service. It runs between ncn Clarendon, ncn City and ncn High Pavement City Sixth Form Academy.

All you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the journey! Timetables are displayed at every reception and on the student intranet.

The tram travels from Hucknall in the north to Nottingham train station, with stops very close to most of our campuses.
