The Department of Natural Resources (DNR), New Brunswick, has produced a map of Crown Lands that have received glyphosate applications between 2005 and 2014. While glyphosate and other chemicals have been sprayed on New Brunswick Crown Land since the 1980s, the provincial DNR notes that no map exists of all applications. Glyphosate applications, sprayed on Crown Land in order to kill off plant species that might compete with softwood trees, have for years been suspected of being linked to human health impacts in New Brunswick. Most recently, former DNR deer biologist Rod Cumberland blamed glyphosate applications for the province's dwindling white-tailed deer populations.
