Welcome to

New Brighton Christian Church.

We’re glad you’ve come to

worship with us today.

The Lord's Supper… is our weekly commemoration of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We invite all who profess Jesus as their Lord and Savior to take the bread and the juice, and to eat and drink after prayer and reflection.

If you would like to be added to the email prayer chain, please contact Maureen Nielsen: [email protected].

A Big Thank You and job well done to our worship team of Reggie, Jeff, Raymond, Miriam and Joe for leading worship at the adult week-end camp at Pine Haven last weekend.

THIS

CONGREGATION is

a part of the restoration

movement within the

church of Jesus Christ

that for over a century

and a half has sought to return to the church as established by

Christ in the New Testament. To do this, we follow no creed but

Christ and accept the Bible as our only rule of faith. We are not

the only Christians but Christians only. We wear no man-made

labels or titles. We are not led by a hierarchy, but rather by men

and women of faith who are filled with the Holy Spirit. In

following the Bible’s example for Christianity, we follow its basic

outline of salvation:

WE ARE SAVED . . .

By grace: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not

from yourselves, it is a gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast.”

Ephesians 2:8-9

Through faith: “...having been buried with Him (Jesus Christ) in baptism and

raised with Him through your faith in the power of God, who raised Him from

the dead.” Colossians 2:12

In baptism: “...and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also-not the

removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It

saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at

God’s right hand with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.” 1

Peter 3:21-22

For good works: "Do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?

Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he

offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were

working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did." James 2:20-

22

We would be glad to answer your questions or to share more

information with you regarding your relationship to Jesus Christ

and to His church. Thank you for worshiping with us today!

No Sunday School in August! We are taking a break in August from Sunday school. We will resume again on September 14. Have a blessed and safe rest of this summer!

Life Prep Academy and the students that will be attending there are in need of school supplies and classroom items to help make their first year a successful one.

Pam Sladek has made up a list of items needed and it is on the insert in today’s bulletin and will be posted on the bulletin board. Please decide which specific items you can donate. A collection box will be available for your donations. We will collect these items from July 27—August 17.

Most basic school supplies are on sale now, so take advantage of the sales. Monetary donations are also welcome. Place them in a white pew envelope and label it “Life Prep Academy” and place it in the offering plate.

By donating you can make a big difference in a teen’s life and help them to get started on the right path to success. For more information, please contact Ann Dewing at 763-572-1314. Thank you.
