We wish all children, staff and parents an enjoyable holiday. School re-opens on Tuesday, 10 April 2018. A blessed and happy Easter to our Christian children, staff and parents. Wishing our Jewish staff, learners and parents an enjoyable Pesach. 2. EARLY SCHOOL CLOSURE – WEDNESDAY, 28 MARCH 2018 School closes at 12:00 on Wednesday, 28 March 2018. Please make arrangements for your child to be fetched at 12 noon sharp. Notify your childs taxi driver about this closing time. Do not switch off your cellphones on Wednesday, 28 March 2018, as we need to contact both you and the taxi driver should there be problems. Please also write in your childs message book the cell number of the taxi driver. Update all contact numbers and please send the information to school before the last day of term. On break-up day, your child should come to school with his/her school bag containing all contact details and ensure that your childs taxi drivers cellphone is switched on. Medication will be handed out at 08:00 and not at the end of the day.

General Rules and Etiquette Learners may not use foul or improper language on or outside the school premises.

Respect must be shown at all times. Learners are not allowed to swear at all. Learners must be polite and friendly at all times, and act with the proper respect toward

administrative staff, educators, therapists, general assistants, visitors and co-learners. Individual educator’s rules must be respected at all times. No form of misbehavior by learners will be tolerated at school. Learners may only be in the foyer of the administrative offices if they wish to speak to

the administrative staff, or have an appointment with the principal. The gardens, plants and trees on the school grounds may not be damaged. Learners

may not walk or run through flowerbeds. Learners may not touch or tamper with educators’ or visitors’ cars. No learners are

allowed in the parking area unless fetched by parents/guardians or taxis. Graffiti of any kind is strictly forbidden.

3. LEARNERS COMING LATE AND BEING FETCHED LATE Week 19 to 23 March 2018 – See attachment to newsletter. PHOENIX CHILDRENS’ TRANSPORT SERVICE INFORMATION This bus service is privately run for the children of Forest Town School only. Should you want to make use of the service or discuss a transport matter, please make an appointment with the Transport Manager, Elias Ntshavheni. st Payment for transport should have been made before 7 February 2018. If

transport fees do not reflect on the school’s books by the 7th of each month, you will be notified and your child will not be able to use the bus, until payment has been received. Please keep in mind that EFT payments take 3 days to reflect, therefore your payment must be done by the 3rd of each month in order for it to reflect by the 7th. Once you have received the notification, please do not take your child to the pickup point, as the bus driver has been instructed not to pick up any non-paying child until the amount outstanding has been settled.
