Neurologist Interface and Workflow (ID, gender, sex, smoke, etc..) 1 2 3 Patient data anonymisation 4 Neurologist can contact an authorized physician (or scien;st) for each requested applica;on (PET/SPECT/MERI/EEG..) and associate them to the opened diagnos;c session. The DECIDE Expert Qualified user (Physician or Scien;st) will run the analysis specifying parameters. Once the analysis is completed the Neurologist can receive no;fica;on by email and download the report from the DECIDE service. Neurologists can open a diagnos(c session associated to a specific pa;ent through the DECIDE portal. To this goal they have to provide clinical data related to the pa;ent including laboratory and neurophysiological tests as well as the administra;ve data needed for diagnos;c applica;ons. Metadata aPribute associated to a ID pa;ent will be given provided by WP7. SE 5

Neurologist can contact an authorized physician (or scien;st) for each requested  applica;on (PET/SPECT/MERI/EEG..) and associate them to the opened diagnos;c session.

Neurologist Interface and Workflow The user can: •   open a new diagnos;c session or  •  manage exis;ng sessions for modifying clinical pa;ent data and for downloading diagnos;c reports.

Physician Interface and Workflow 1.  Physicians are front‐end users and are specialist doctors (e.g. Radiologists, Nuclear

Medicine doctors, Neuro‐Physiologists) providing the neurologists with diagnos;c informa;on, rela;ve to the specific test of competence, through the related DECIDE applica;ons.

2.  Physician registra;on requests are submiPed to a panel of DECIDE experts and can be accepted or rejected according to the fulfilment of some requirements concerning their skills in using the applica;ons which they have applied  to. Requirements may include either previous experiences in the field or a cer;fied training curriculum.

3.  They can access the diagnos;c sessions which they are associated to by neurologists or can open a new session on their own.

4.  Within a session they can upload pa;ent data files, run authorized applica;ons without having permissions to set and modify parameters values, and download final diagnos;c reports.

Physician/Scien;st Interface Physician:  •  his/her home page allows the user to open a new diagnos;c session or to manage the exis;ng sessions associated to him/. • If the user chooses to work on exis;ng sessions, a list of all the diagnos;c sessions associated to him/her is shown.  • The user must select one session from the list and then the related clinical data are presented as well as a form for uploading the input data files for the applica;on associated both to the session and to the physician.  Scien;st: • If the user starts a new experimental session, then a page is presented with the form for uploading the input pa;ent data.  • If the user want to manage exis;ng sessions a page is presented with a list of sessions associated to him/her. As for the physician he/she can select one of the session and run the related applica;on.

1.  Scien;sts are front‐end users and are professionals dealing with diagnos;c algorithms, (e.g. Physicists, Mathema;cians, Sta;s;cians, Engineers), who collaborate with the physicians by providing knowledge and comprehension of the methodology underlying the diagnos;c algorithms used to support a diagnos;c decision, in par;cular in terms of quan;ta;ve or semi quan;ta;ve informa;on.

2.  A[er login and authoriza;on, scien;sts may open an experimental session and run the associated applica;ons for research purposes without providing any clinical data for the pa;ent or can access the diagnos(c sessions which they are associated to by neurologists.

3.  For each applica;on, they can upload pa;ent data files and modify parameter values for the related algorithms. They can also set up the configura;on of final reports and download them for comparison.

Data Manager Interface and workflow 1.  Data managers are back‐end users and their role is mainly devoted to populate and

update the DECIDE normals’ databases, maintaining data and metadata and adding addi;onal image datasets, thus enhancing the confidence of the DECIDE e‐services.

2.  To the same goal, they may also train the ar;ficial neural networks included in some applica;ons when needed.

3.  They can access only data related to the applica;on which they are responsible for. 4.  A[er registra;on they can access portal interface in order to login and use DECIDE

services for managing data and metadata in reference databases and for training neural networks.
