The Netherlands is famous for its colorful tulip gardens and the best time to see the beautiful flowers is April to May, when they are blooming. Keukenhof, the country's most famed tulip garden, is open from the end of March until the beginning of May, and is possibly the best place to enjoy the gorgeous flowers.

Jeans and t-shirts are popular ; smart-casual wear will usually be fine. If is better to keep a sweater and a Pashmina if you are hanging out or sitting in cafes. As there would be a lot of walk involved it is better to wear comfortable flat shoes rather than high heels. Sunglasses and hats are a must in summer.
