IT’S A CLASS OFITS OWN.
The Neptune has been designed to be a complete but
modular unit to be configured to your wishes.
The Basic Neptune is already a fully equipped unit, ready
to operate. If you would like to have even more control,
you can easily equip the Neptune with an anaesthesia
monitor. You can upgrade your Neptune to future
demands.
The Neptune ventilator is through its unique horizontal
“bag-in-bottle” system capable to ventilate from neonates
to adult, without changing any bag or bellow.
The Neptune ventilator is standard equipped with several
ventilation modes: Volume controlled, Pressure controlled,
spontaneous, manual ventilation and can be easily
upgraded with new modes. The Horizontal “bag in bottle”
system is well known for its decelerating flow pattern which
has the advantage of the best alveolar diffusion and less
risk of barotrauma.
The Neptune is standard equiped with an “anti-barotrauma
system” developed by Medec. This unique feature automatically
reacts to major changes in the patient pressure, it gives a new
dimention to patient safety.
IT’S A CLASS OF ITS OWN.

In manual/spontaneous mode we integrated the special “anti-volutrauma” software, specially developed by Medec resulting in one of the safest units available on the market these days.
The Medec anaesthesia units will always operate at the
volume set by the anaesthetist. The Neptune does exactly
what you set it to do. The measurement of the volume is
electronically controlled, combined with an automatic
compensation for changes in the compliance, resistance,
fresh gas settings and even for minor leaks in the patient
circle system. The Neptune is space efficient and thanks to
its compact design you can easily put it anywhere you
need it.
The first priority is the patient safety. Our units are equipped
according to the highest safety standards and with several
audible and visual alarms.
The secure Oxygen ratio controller guaranties a minimum
of 25% oxygen in the freshgas mixture. If the oxygen fails
the nitrous oxide will automatically be cut-off.
with a fully charged battery, and together with a cylinder
backup system you can safely finish your procedure in the
worst scenario.
We use only high quality products to built our units and to
eliminate the risk of failure.
It's a person's life that counts.
The Neptune is designed to have the lowest cost of owner-
ship. If you do an investment, you do not want to have
high recurring cost. We offer you the possibility to use
low flow or minimal flow to minimize the use of expensive
anaesthetic agents. Our ventilator automatically compen-
sates to the amount of fresh gas flow and therefor the
Neptune can work as an half open system or a fully closed
system, all depending of your fresh gas flow settings. Gas
measurements are done electronically to assure the patients
safety. Our flow sensor is so reliable that we can grand it a
5 years warranty.
By placing the canister at the inspiratory line, we
have eliminated the unneeded use of filtering
gasses that will be drained by the gas evacuation.
Your soda-lime can be used for a much longer
period.
The Neptune has been designed to be maintained
easily and cost effective. All parts of the Neptune
are tested and inspected to achieve the highest
standards and to eliminate the risk of failure.
Medec is an ISO certified company, and our products carry
the CE quality label.
