What to Pack

Dress is typically casual and conservative. Women should

avoid sleeveless, tight, and short garments. Bare legs above

the knee are frowned upon for men and women. When

visiting monasteries, dzongs and other religious sites do

not wear shorts or hats.

Pack according to the season; during the dry seasons the

weather is balmy, neither too hot nor too cold. Towards the

end, the weather can be extremely hot. During the wet

season you will need to carry an umbrella.

It is recommended that you pack light with clothing that is

breathable, comfortable and easy to clean.

Pack lip balm, sunblock, sunglasses, hat, mosquito

repellent, tissue, and a good pair of walking shoes.

Electronic chargers for your camera, phone, iPad, etc. and

extra camera memory card(s).

Electrical converter, step-down transformer, and outlet

adapter. Nepals electrical voltage is 220-240.
