Our trekking guide will come to the hotel in the
morning at six o’clock to pick you with private
transport. We’ll drive to Pokhara (200 km) which
will take us about 6 to 7 hours on a very scenic
route. Along the journey you will witness some
stunning scenery of snow capped mountains,
green hills, rivers in rafting, and villages. Pokhara
is a beautiful valley with panoramic views of
Annapurna, Machapuchare (shape of fish tail),
Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu. The
town of Pokhara is set on the banks of the
Phewa Lake. It is smaller and much less hectic
than Kathmandu providing the perfect starting
point for our trek. Stay overnight at a hotel.
Day 02: Fly Pokhara to Jomsom (2713m) -25 minutes; Trek Jomsom to Kagbeni (2897m) -3 to 4 hours
Early in the morning we will fly to Jomsom. The flight is 25 minutes on a scenic flight view of Spectaculars Mountains.
We start the first day trekking from Jomsom (2713m) to Kagbeni (2897m) after breakfast. The trail follows the wide
valley of the Kali Gandaki. Here the wind generally picks up after about midday but will at least be blowing at our
backs as you head up to ancient village Kagbeni in the morning time. The rest of the day we will explore around the
village, people, and culture.
Day 03: Trek Kagbeni to Muktinath (38000m) -4 to 5 hours
After breakfast the trail ascends for couple hundred of meters. Gradually walking you can enjoy the beautiful
deserted landscape - caves, old Tibetan style villages, apple garden, yaks herds, and sheep herds and so on. Far ahead
us we can look at the Thorong La valley straight up to Muktinath. We can visit Jharkot, the ancient Tibetan style
village, and its fort and monastery built in the 15th century. Now you head upwards following steep path for half an
hour towards Muktinath (3800m). This is an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Muktnith is
indeed a place of nirvana and home to Hindu temples as well as several Buddhist monasteries. The temples are
dedicated to Lord Vishnu and have 108 waterspouts around it from which holy water springs out. There is also the
Jwala Mai Temple which has an eternal flame fed by natural underground gas.
Day 04: Trek Muktinith via jhong to Kagbeni (2800m) -5 to 6 hours
After breakfast we walk down to the ancient Jharkot village and then continue to the Khinga village whose culture and

Mustang Trekking.
Day 05: Trek Kagbeni to Marpha (2670m) - 4 to 5 hours
Today is an easy day. The trail goes along the Valley of Kaligandaki River, which is all flat desert land. It is much better
to leave early morning in order to avoid to the strong wind which come after 10/ 11 am. We will continue to walk to
Jomson, the headquarter of the Mustang districts inhabited by traditional salt traders Thakali. We can get many
facilities here. The trail leads us through the Kali Gandaki valley to Marpha. Marpha is home to many apple orchids as
well as all the various food products which are made from the fruit. Apple brandy is a local specialty that you may be
lucky enough to taste en route.
Day 06: Marpha to Ghasa (2010m) - 5 to 6 hours
After breakfast, we trek further down the Kali Gandaki valley alongside the Kali Gandaki river to Ghasa. We will pass
the villages of Tukuche (2580m) and Larjung (2560m), then cross the the Kali Gandaki river by a high suspension bridge
and continue through an area covered with pine, juniper and cypress trees Towards the village of Kalopani (2530m)

we get to Ghasa, our base for the night.
Day 07: Trek Ghasa to Tatopani (1190m) - 4 to 5 hours
Today our trek leads us through the world’s deepest gorge of Kali GandakI. Much of the way is cut through solid rock
and subject to frequent landslides. Before we reach the village of Dana (1450m) we pass the Rupse Chhahara
(‘beautiful waterfall’) then descend further down past several landslides we will reach Tatopani (hot spring), which is
situated on the riverbanks. Here we will stop to
make the most of a well earned hot bath.

to 7 hours

Annapurna (8,091m), Machhapuchere, Nilgiri,
Hiuchuli, South Annapurna etc. Additionally we can see a network of other peaks, slowly beginning to appear like
magic before our eyes. We come back to Ghorepani for a hot breakfast and start walking to Tadapani. Here the trail
climbs alongside ridges with pine and rhododendron forests to the Deurali and then descends through beautiful
waterfalls, streams, and dense forest to Banthati. The streams have some clear pools alongside the trail which finally
climbs up to the final destination Tadapani meaning ‘hot water.’ This is the water supply for a village far away.
Day 10: Tadapani to Ghaundrung (1950m) - 3 to 4 hours
Today is an easier day. After waking up late we will descend steeply through dense forests with breathtaking
panoramas to the Ghaundrung village of the Gurung people. If you wake up early enough in the morning you can catch
