Small, Round, Black— One Material, Many Applications
Neopor®—Neoporiscomposedofsmallblackbeadsofpolystyrene(EPS)containingblowingagent,whichmakesitexpandable.BASFproducesthisuniquematerial,whichisprocessedbyfoammanufacturersintoinsulatingmaterialsforawiderangeofdifferentapplications.
These black beads arefoamedbyconvertersonconventionalEPSmachinesandprocessedtosilver-grayfoamblocksandmoldedpartswithupto�0percentbetterinsulatingperformancethanconventionalEPS.Theblocksarethencuttoboardsofdifferentthicknesses.
