National Museum
Our National Museum was built at 19th
century in neo-renaissance architectonic style.
It was damaged by Soviet army in 1968 „National Museum“ is the summary name
for a lot of museums in the Czech republic, too. There are: Czech Museum of Music, Scientifical Museum, …
National Theatre
It was built in neo-renaissance style too and it‘s very similar like our National Museum.
Fundation-stones originate from some famous and (for us) important places from all of our republic.
There was a big fire in 1881. People picked money in 47 days, after that and theatre could be built again – it‘s OUR museum. Above curtain is notice: Nation to himself.
Prague Castle
Prague Castle is old seat of czech kings and since 1918 it‘s seat of czech presidents.
It‘s the dominating feature of Prague. There are Cathedral of St. Vít, St. George
basilica and so on in the area of Prague Castle
Queen Anne‘s summer palace
It‘s a renaissance building in gardens of Prague Castle (in King‘s garden)
It was built for wife of Ferdinand I. It was an observatory for astronomer
Tycho Brahe.
