Electronic Cheque

S ection 6 ( I a)

µA cheque in the electronic form¶ means acheque which contains the exact mirror imageof a paper cheque, and is generated, writtenand signed by a secure system ensuring theminimum safety standards with the use of digital signature (with or without biometricssignature) and asymmetric crypto system.

Tru ncated Cheq u eS ection 6 ( I b)

A truncated cheque¶ means a cheque which istruncated during the clearing cycle,either by the clearing house during the courseof a clearing cycle,either by the clearing house or by the bankwhether paying or receiving paymentimmediately on generation of an electronic

image for transmission, substituting the further physical movement of the cheque in writing.
