and self-lubricating surface with

resistant and it has long-lasting
non-stick and antistatic properties

This layer contains numerous
micropores that are enlarged in
patented mass processes. The
surface is sealed by the controlled
impregnation of polymer particles.

Coating thickness and tolerances
Depending on the application of
the NEDOX®
coating, the layer thickness is between 5 µm and
75 µm with a tolerance of ±2 µm.
The required layer thickness of a
NEDOX®
variant should be agreedon after careful selection with the
help of our technicians.
Corrosion resistance
The corrosion resistance is superior
to chromium or conventional
electrolytic nickel coatings.
25 µm-thick NEDOX ® layers
showed little to no corrosion after
14 months' constant exposure to
the atmosphere or to salt water.
NEDOX ® offers good resistance
to the most commonly used
chemicals. After a 90-day
immersion test in a fluid with
pH values between 3.0 and 9.5,
the coatings showed not the
slightest damage.
They are especially resistant to
phosphate-free bleaching
substances such as are used for
machines in the foodstuffs and
packaging industries. NEDOX ®
coatings are, in contrast to many
other coatings on aluminium,
resistant to a large number of
chemicals.

Friction
The NEDOX ® surface is very
smooth. In many cases the
static friction even decreases
under increasing pressure.

NEDOX ® eliminates the "stick-slip"effect and prevents unwanted
vibrations caused by high static
friction.
Lipstick moulds coated with NEDOX ® for easier removal of residues from the

Anti-adhesive properties
With the exception of a limited
number of very sticky substances,
there’s hardly any solid that can
remain stuck to a component
coated with NEDOX ®. Since
most of the NEDOX ® coatings
are USDA or FDA compliant, they
are especially suitable for the
foodstuffs industry, baking
machinery construction and the
pharmaceutical and medical
industry. They are widely used in
production and packing machines,
particularly so as to avoid the
processing equipment being
stuck, to make cleaning easier and
to reduce the use of chemical
cleaning substances as much as
possible.
