I hope and pray that you and your family are staying safe during these challenging times. While we have all been caught off guard, Dynamic is doing its best to manage the situation and take steps to promote the health, safety and well-being of our employees and the Company. This virus is dangerous and must be taken seriously. It is highly contagious with significant, sometimes deadly health implications, particularly for the elderly or those with previous medical conditions. We all need to do our part to prevent the spread of this disease to protect as many people as we can. At Dynamic, we are following all CDC and government guidance currently, including limiting physical contact, promoting hand washing and sending home employees with symptoms.

I know many of you have expressed concern about coming to work during local shut down orders. While non-essential businesses have been shut down, I believe we are very fortunate that the construction industry has been allowed to continue operations. There are no easy decisions in a crisis, but I believe continuing to work is the far better outcome for our employees and their families then shutting down and letting people go without paychecks for weeks or months until the virus is behind us. We are taking extra precautions to avoid spreading the virus while continuing to fabricate and install materials effectively. With so much uncertainty and so many people suffering through the crisis, Dynamic has been very fortunate thus far.

The long-term effects of this virus to our health, the economy and Dynamic is a huge unknown. At this point, there is little doubt that Covid-19 is a game changer with the impact on our lives lasting for years. The oil and gas industry, a longstanding driver of the Texas economy, is in a dire situation with many bankruptcies expected. Small businesses across the country are fighting for survival and many will have to shut their doors and start over. The global economy will be in a deep recession beginning in Q2 that could last into 2021. Stimulus packages will help ease the blow, but it will take significant time to get back to normal. While there is much to be concerned about, I’m happy to report that Dynamic entered this storm in a great position. We have a strong team and contracted work that should keep us busy for the next 12-18 months. Long-term, I believe in the resilience of the Texas economy and I’m confident we’ll bounce back from this better than ever.

I hope you all stay safe and healthy. Thank you for all you do to make Dynamic great. We have the best team in the industry and the future is still bright!

Unless you have been hiding under a rock for the last two months, you can guess what this safety section will be about. Coronavirus or Covid-19 has dramatically affected our lives at work and at home. While the news stories can provide useful information, their sensationalist tone can lead to unnecessary fear and panic. I know everyone at Dynamic is concerned with the uncertainty and impact with the virus. For this letter, I want to stick to the high-level facts about Covid-19.

For some background, Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV), Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV), and a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans (Covid-19)

Mild to severe respiratory illness, fever, cough, difficulty breathing, and other flu like symptoms have been displayed in some of the individuals infected with Covid-19

To protect ourselves the CDC recommends: • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol if soap and water are not available.• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.• Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Respect the 6 foot rule.• Stay home when you are sick.• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

Please know that your safety is vitally important to us and we are doing what we can to provide hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, disinfectants, etc. We are running into supply chain issues trying to get certain items from venders but I am doing my best to get them or an equivalent as soon as possible.

Park Place River Oaks is a 15-story office building nestled in the heart of the Galleria area. The first level is dedicated to retail space, while levels 2 – 8 acts as a parking garage for the building. Levels 9 – 15 will be future office space. The design team behind this unique project was Beck Architecture, the General Contractor was D.E. Harvey Builders, and the owner is Stonelake Capital. This project is due to be turned over by May 2020.

What did you find most challenging about executing a project of this size? The most challenging aspect of a project this size and caliber would have to be maintaining the fast-paced schedule. With buildings this size and complexity, there are many moving parts that must be timed perfectly for the entire project to stay on track. One forgotten part or task will put a damper on everything that you’ve worked so hard on prior to that moment of error. This causes a back-up that can be most challenging to recover from. Being proactive and reaching out for help always is crucial in maintaining these schedules and if done correctly, can prove to be very beneficial to you and your customer for the current project, and future projects to come. What did you like most about being a part of the project? I believe what I liked the most is what I always enjoy the most about any of the projects I am given, which is working with an amazing and fantastic team. There’s no way that I would be able to make these projects come to life without the men and women that stand alongside me that work hand in hand to make these sketches and drawings become a reality. I truly count on each one of my team members to help me to the very end. What takeaways do you have from this project to apply to future large projects? This building has the unique appearance of having a glazed skin surrounding its parking garage levels. Without knowing, it would be hard to tell that levels 2 – 8 are in fact a parking garage. With this level of complexity there are challenges to say the least. The largest take-away for me was learning that correctly laying out such a feature is critical in assuring that no conflicts arise throughout the installation process. We were met with many issues and conflicts along the way and I’m very thankful that are field team had the stamina and determination to overcome these and push through to get this feature complete and behind us.

Can you name an example of the DG team working together to succeed? From the time this project was handed over to its current state, the design of this building seemed to be a moving target. There are many times that we have received requests to change the design and come up with an idea that works better than what was originally drawn. I can honestly say that as a DG team, we always take on these changes front and center and brainstorm ideas around the table that would potentially work, create a quick detail, send over to the GC, and get approved almost instantly due to the experience we as a Dynamic team carry. This to me is the very definition of a team working together to succeed. What is your favorite feature of the project? Anyone would expect this answer to be the custom jewelry on the face of the unitized wall, but for me it would have to be the living terrace on level 9. This for me is a very simple feature in the means of design but gives the building an organic feel in a very modernized environment. Is there something most don’t know about the project that you would like to share? When we first were awarded this project, it was known that we would need materials right away to begin fabrication. From the time our shop drawings were approved in person at the Architects office in Dallas, to the time we had materials on the floor to produce a 15-story building was exactly 6 weeks. That is simply unheard of in most procurement scenarios, but all of the vendors and suppliers were notified ahead of time so that once the material orders were sent, the materials would have to be produced in record time in order to maintain the given project schedule. It was a very quick paced process and before we knew it, we had metal and glass at the shop ready to go.
