CWSP Supervisors to be
Appreciated on March 10!Each year in March, NDCR hosts an
appreciation breakfast for all of the
Supervisors of the Corporate Work
Study Program. Supervisors are the
extension of faculty at NDCR. Every
day they are teaching, mentoring
and educating our students in skill
development and working with
people. NDCR is indebted to all of
the Supervisors who go above and
beyond to help educate our students
for life.
Guests will enjoy a delicious
breakfast, hear inspiring stories about
life at the CWSP workplace and be
bombarded with thanks from the
faculty and staff at NDCR.

Jasmine Santiago, Celinex Pequero, Flordleiz Luciano, Jennifer Santana, Victoria Luciano and Rashel Sariol have a few things in common – they all attend Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School and they have all been accepted to the MIT Leadership Training Institute. Ready for several weeks of leadership training on their Sunday afternoons, the six students excitedly admitted that they can’t wait for the experience and after when they can add the program to their resumes! April 2 Announced as Date

$500,000 in the 2015 Gala season, NDCR is eager to invite
guests back to the Andover Country Club in Andover, MA
on April 2 for their OPENING DOORS GALA & AUCTION

the Gala. Thanks to a recent $200,000 matching challenge grant, NDCR
is confident that they will surpass last year’s Gala season total and
offer more opportunities for students to attend NDCR.

Dear Friends of NDCR,
I hope your New Year is already full of great promise and fulfillment. It certainly has been a great new beginning at Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School. Yes, our remarkable story just keeps getting better thanks to your continued support and belief in our wonderful young people, their hopes and their futures. You provide the open doors that transform their dreams into exciting possibilities!
In the spirit of dreams coming true and with our upcoming Gala, a letter recently crossed my desk from one of our alums (pictured on the right) that I knew I had to share this with you as you were such an integral part of his journey through NDCR. Emilio Joubert, NDCR Class of 2015, just completed his first semester on the Dean’s list (3.6 GPA) at Georgetown University with a double major in Government and English and a minor in Italian.
Here, in his own words, Emilio expresses very warm sentiments:
“At last year’s Annual Gala I was in awe of the generosity demonstrated by the donors in attendance. Being a senior at the time, I experienced such an awesome sense of gratitude for all those people who financially supported my successful journey through four years at Notre Dame Cristo Rey.
Now at Georgetown and reflecting on the scholarship I was offered at NDCR through so many donors, I realize I need to pay these gifts forward by working hard throughout my college years and sharing my skills in volunteer community service. I particularly want to share my success in supporting those in the Cristo Rey Network by offering to be a mentor in the Cristo Rey/Kipp Summer Program sponsored by Georgetown University.
I have no intention to squander this amazing gift of education that I have been given through others’ generosity. Thank you so much! I have every intention to make you proud.”
Thank you dear friends of NDCR for making the dreams of Emilio and so many others come true. May God bless you and all those whom you hold dear.
