The Project
This meeting aims at providing a forumfor discussion of scientific and technicalproject results preparing for periodicreporting and planning on futureproject program
The Project Annual Meetings contributeto integration within the project andcommunication with a broaderinterested community
DisCo represents a logical follow-on from earlierEuratom projects (such as SFS NF-PRO MICADOREDUPP and FIRST-Nuclides) which focused ondissolution and radionuclide release fromconventional UO2 spent fuels
In particular this project aims to fill theknowledge gap on spent fuel dissolution arisingfrom the development and use of novel types offuel (CrAl- doped and MOX)
The project stared on 1st of June 2017 and will lastfor 4 years It is implemented by a consortiumwith 16 Beneficiaries from 8 countries and theEuropean Joint Research Center (EC) NationalWaste Management Organizations andRegulatory Authorities contribute to the runningproject by participation in the End-User Group byco-funding Beneficiaries and provide forknowledge and information transfer
