subjected to a social being. Her duty is to serve her husband & family, give birth of child & always act according to others interest. With this kind of socio-historical background in kitty one can easily assume how difficult for a Indian woman to make a mark in international beauty mart .But “Bombay Girl” Reita Faria have other idea & she willing to became the exception & shows the way for the others to do so.

Early Life: She was a medical student of Grant Medical college and J.J. Group of Hospital. She started her modeling carrier with winning Miss Bombay crown & Eve’s Weekly Miss India contest.

Year of Crowning: She crowned as 1st ever Indian & Asian Miss World in the year of 1966.

After life: After her one year tenure, she refused modeling &films & instead concentrated on medical studies. Now she lives in Dublin with her Happy family.

Reita Faria

Sushmita SenEarly Life:

She was born to a Bengali family & she did her schooling at the ‘Air Force golden jubilee institute’. In 1994 at the age of 18 she won the title of Famine Miss

India beating Aishwariya Rai.

Year of Crowning: She represent India at the 1994 Miss

Universe pageant held in Manila, Philippines & won there.

After life: After finish her one year tenure she tried her luck in B-town & she makes her debute in Dastak. Later she did some memorable films like Biwi No. 1, Filhal, Main hoon na, & so on. She Is a proud single mother & adopted

two girls name Renee & Alisha.

Early Life:

Rai was born into a Bunt family in

Mangalore. She did her intermediated schooling Jai

Hind college. She did her 1st modeling assignment

when she was in 9th grade. Her passion for modeling

draws her to Famine Miss India Pageant in 1994.

Year of Crowning:

She came runner up to Sushmita Sen in that

competition & went on to represent India in Miss

World Contest & ended up as a winner.

After Life:

After her crowning the glamour bug of Bolly

bitten her & she landed up in tinsel town. She started

her film career with Maniratnam’s Irruvar & Shankar's

Jeans. Later she became very popular in India & as

well as Abroad too. 19th April of 2007 she got

married to Abhishek Bacchant & continues to

entertain us with her movies like Jodha Akbar,

Guzarish & so on.

Diana HaydenEarly life: Diana Hayden was born in

Hyderabad in an Anglo Indian family. She started her schooling from St. Ann’s High school

but Complete her education through open schooling & correspondance corses later. Before

modeling She tries her hand into event management & PR field.

Year of Crowning: She won the Femina Miss India World Crown in 1997 & then went on to Win the Miss World crown in the very

year.

After Life: Following her tenure as the global representative for the Miss World

organisation she went to England & studied acting. Her 1st screen debute is in the film

version of William Shakespear’s Othello. Later she participated in Bigg boss 2.

Early Life: She is from Northern India but migrated to Mumbai

at a very early age. She done her college at Kelkar college.

Year of Crowning: She won 49th Miss World competition held

at London in 1999.After life:

After her Miss World triumph she done diploma in Computer Science & trend herself in

Hindustani Classical Music. She is also an active member of BJP & engaged herself in Social & charitable causes. She had a go in

films but failed to make it big time.

Lara Dutta Early life: She was born in Ghaziabad.

She completed high schooling from St. Francis Xavier girls’ high school. She graduated in Economics with minor in

commerce from MU.Year of Crowning: She was crowned

Miss Universe in year 2000 which led to her appointment as a UNFPA Goodwill

Ambassador in 2001.After life: After she experience the life

of a Miss Universe she take the path of bollywood, debute to Akshay Kumar in Andaaz. She had some hits on her kitty

like Partner, Housefull & etc. She got married to India’s Tennis ace Mahesh

Bhupati in later 2010.

Early Life: She was born in Jamshedpur. She studied at La Martiniere Girls’ School in

Luckhnow, She went to US for her higher studies.

Year of Crowning: She came 2nd to Lara Dutta at Miss India 2000 competition went on to

compete in Miss World 2000 pageant & eventually won the competition.

After Life: After her 1 year tenure she makes her silver screen debute in Sunny Deol’s spy thriller –

Hero. Later she became a very popular actress of Hindi film. She gave Blockbusters like Mjhse shadi karogi, Aitraaz, Krrish, Don & so on. In the year of 2009 she

awarded by National Film Award for her performance in Madhur Bhandarkar’s

Fashion.

The concept of regular Indian women who are only good in cooking & doing

stuffs for her family has been shattered by this beauty

ambassadors. Their achievement create a believe that an average small town girl can make it big time , really

big time, if she willing to dream & cherish her goal. So this presentation

of mine is a tribute to those ladies who make us proud & confident as a

woman of Indians.
