• Analyze and Improving of 3G KPI’S like RRC setup rate, CS AMR setup rate, CS 64 Setup rate, PS setup rate, HSDPA Setup rate, Hsdpa throughut, Drop rates.

• Optimizing 3G sites to reduce drops, improving the IRAT Handover, Soft Handover, LU, Paging,

• Working on planning of GSM Network in AIRTEL, guidelines set up by Ericsson using Mapinfo,Atoll,Unet.• Working on data sent by survey team and generated simulated network

coverage plan and recommended designs for a GSM network using RF Planning Tools like TCPU, ATOLL, MAPINFO.

• Preparation of Site Acquisition Request Forms(SARFs) as per the requirement.

• Co-Ordinating and handling New sites survey works and survey report maintenance.• Planning for expansion sites depends on congestion and utilization.• Planning for the COW survey for the Events and for the special requirement.• To perform Nominal & Frequency Planning: BCCH/BSIC planning & TCH planning, Hopping &

Non-Hopping Plan, Neighbor list planning, to perform Capacity Planning: Site Configuration, Planning Capacity sites

• Responsible for Monitoring and Trouble shooting and Analyzing KPI issues of Client across

Cluster.

• Responsible for Monitoring the parameters (BSC, BTS, HOC, POC) for new sites and old sites.

• GSM Radio Network Planning & Optimization (coverage & capacity).

• (E)GPRS Radio Network Planning & Optimization.

• Physical Optimization for overshooting cells & neighboring cells of newly on air site.

• BSS parameter optimization & capacity planning for reducing the SDCCH & TCH blocking and to improve the SDCCH, Network Quality, TCH completion & Handover success rate.

• Continuous analyzing traffic, utilization and subscriber growth in order to foresee capacity expansion, optimizing the TRX’s according to the traffic utilization.

• Covering areas given by the customer cluster-wise and performing complete driver tests.

• GPRS Drive Test also checking speed up link and down link frequencies.

• Carrying drive tests for any new sites added in the network by checking the coverage in the sectors while the call is connected.

• RF Survey (This survey decides the place for new cell site, height, tilt & Orientation of GSM

antenna).

• Locating the Nominal using GPS, Noting present Signal Strength using Net Monitor.

• Taking Snap shots of surrounding area of selected options, Using Map Info checking the

surrounding sites, Collecting Grids as much as possible, inserting them in Map Grid, getting the

distance & Angle.

• Accordingly deciding the Orientation of GSM Antenna, Preparing RND Survey Report, Have

done RF Survey for both Capacity Offload and Coverage Sites.

• LOS Survey [ This survey consists of deciding the Height of the Microwave Link antenna by

considering the maximum obstructions between two sites.

• Getting approx terrain idea between sites using Global Mapper, Noting max AMSL, distance &

Obstruction ht. values between sites and inserting it in RL Tool to get the correct view of

Fresnel Zone.
