Nature Trail... A 2km (1¼ mile) nature trail through woods and meadows with elevated views. Distance: 2 km/1.25miles Note: one stile and ups and downs of 103 metres or 338 feet. complete this walk. Please wear stout shoes with a reasonable grip on the soles. After wet weather some areas can be slippery. Please take you litter home with you and if you have a dog please pick up after it. If you have any comments or suggestions, please contact reception reception@thefishhotel.co.uk To reach the start of the walk from The Lodge , go up the steps and turn right through the car park. Continue ahead on the grassy track past a NT post for approx 20 metres, then turn right through a gap in the hedge to the steps. Go down and bear left to follow the route around the lake before heading uphill. Follow the path through the woods as it bears left to a post before turning right up a slope (watch carefully for signs of deer) and turn left to emerge at an opening. By another pair of electric poles ahead bear left A down the slope, keeping to the right hand side towards a post straight ahead by a sycamore tree. Turn right up the slope towards another post by the edge of the trees. Follow the path through the trees, climbing up to meet the driveway. Here look back at the views across the Vale of Evesham. Cross the drive and continue up to a post straight ahead by a fence B. Here turn left and follow the path for a short distance before the path enters the trees. After approx 100m the path turn left and descends towards a post. Go past and further down the path turns right to a post. Here turn right and start to climb towards another post on your left. At the post turn left and follow the path diagonally down to emerge from the trees by a post C . Turn right beside the edge of the trees towards a gap with a track leading immediately turn left through the trees. The path turns right up to a post. Here turn left and follow the path to emerge out of the trees to a post on your right adjacent to a track. Turn left and follow the track through the opening in the trees until you meet D. Go through the gate and turn immediately left to follow the fence on ahead of you. The village of Willersey lies below you at the bottom of hill. Cross the stile and footbridge, the path bears left to follow the NT posts. The path then bears right towards the edge of the trees as it descends down to meet the drive. Turn left along the drive past the barrier to the fork in the driveway. Bear right and continue straight on towards The Lodge and the start of the walk. View north towards Willersey
