The Prairie Roof Nature Observatory, located along the waters edge of Joe Pool Lake in the Cedar Hill State Park is an homage to the prairie lands that once stood where the lake is today. At this point where three ecosystems converge the nature observatory allows visitors to the park to experience nature both through the museum exhibits and from atop the build which extends the prairie land toward the lake.
