Natura offers the designer subtle shades of color along with the crisp, clean lines required to create dynamic and attractive exterior surfaces. The creative freedom offered by Natura is underlined by its strength, light weight, durability and ease of use. (See samples with the prefi x N).

Natura Pro is a Natura panel provided with an additional, permanent, UV-cured top-coating that, apart from its anti graffi ti resistance, additionally makes the sheet harder and stronger.

A UV-cured top layer offers good protection against many types of staining, mechanical damage during construction, and against graffi ti, which can be eliminated with common graffi ti removers. (See samples with the prefi x NU).

Natura TC is a through-colored, high density fi ber cement panel with a pure core and a unique semi-transparent or colored fi nish that gives the smooth surface a noble and prestigious look.

Pictura is a unique, fi ber cement, high density panel, with an optically fl at, semi-matt, hard and smooth surface. Also resistant against UV, scratches, graffi ti and chemicals. Its hard surface is unrivalled among cladding panels, and is ideally suited for use in aggressive environments. The unique PRO top coating guarantees excellent performance of the sheet.

Lightweight yet strong, PICTURA panels are available in a wide range of colors, with excellent colorfast qualities, and have particularly impressive fi re resistance qualities.

Textura combines vivid color, texture and toughness in one fully compressed fi ber cement cladding panel.

With a highly glazed, granular acrylic fi nish, available in any factory-approved RAL color, it is impact resistant yet strong, light in weight and easy to use. Its performance pedigree is second to none, complying with European Standards with regard to fi re resistance and fl ame spread.

Eter-Color is a through-colored fi ber cement board with a clear, waterproof shield that protects and enhances the natural fi nish of the product.

This is a high density autoclaved fi ber cement board that’s surface is characterized by fi ne sanding lines, and in certain confi gurations can give the appearance of fi nished concrete.

Eter-Color can easily compete with other natural cementitious exterior claddings. It offers high durability, low weight and fast and easy installation.

Minerit HD, for exterior applications, has a smooth, cement gray surface that requires no surface or edge treatment. Can be stained or painted.

Minerit LW is suitable for interior applications, has excellent sound insulation, and is shock and wear resistant.

Product Sustainability AFC Cladding is committed to providing the highest quality high density compressed fi ber cement panels to the U.S. building markets. In order to do this, we feel it necessary to provide not only high quality products, but sustainable products that can contribute to green (LEED) building projects, which in turn benefi t the environment we all live in.

AFC Cladding products currently have a potential contribution in seven (7) areas1 of LEED credits across multiple LEED rating systems, and have several sustainability attributes in addition to those recognized by LEED rating systems.1 One of the most important sustainable attributes is the durability of AFC Cladding panels. With their long lifespan, virtually requiring no refurbishment, AFC Cladding panels can contribute to less replacement of materials and to drastically lower maintenance costs over the useful life of the building.

The recommended Ventilated and Insulated Rain Screen Cladding (VIRSC) system, which is used to affi x AFC Cladding panels to the exterior of a structure, offers many benefi ts and green attributes to the performance of the building envelope. Durability and resistance to moisture and mold build-up are noteworthy benefi ts. Equally important is its ability to accommodate external insulation, which addresses the issues of thermal bridging.1 These attributes are just a few of the many that have a potential contribution to LEED credits.2

In addition, AFC Cladding is dedicated to further research and analysis of our products to achieve additional LEED credits, and help further the cause of building sustainable and effi cient buildings.

Preventing thermal bridgesAs the insulating material is on the outside of the structural wall, it can easily be mounted without interruptions caused by fl oor slabs. In this way, any thermal bridges that occur at each fl oor slab can be prevented. These thermal bridges are also the cause of surface condensation that may result in fungus growth.

Dissipating heat from the sunThe ventilated rainscreen cladding system has a cooling effect when temperatures outside are high. Most of the sun’s rays are refl ected away from the building. Heat passing through the exterior wall panel is partially dissipated by the ventilating effect of the space between the exterior cladding panel and the structural wall. Any residual heat manag-ing to penetrate buildings is very minor.

RainscreenArchitectural wall-cladding panels act as a rain-screen on the outside of the building and keep the structural wall absolutely dry. The air space connected to the outside air evacuates water and humidity that might have penetrated behind the wall-cladding panels through its horizontal or vertical joints. This water will never reach the load bearing wall and/or the thermal insulation.

Protecting the basic structure and load-bearing wall against temperature variationsIn view of the fact that the insulation material is applied to the outside of the building, changes in temperature are very minor compared with those found in conventional constructions where insulation is applied on the interior. This principle works in summer and winter in both hot and cold climates.

Prevention of internal condensationInsulation material can be applied to the outside of the structural wall because it is protected effective-ly by the architectural exterior wall panel. Because of differences in vapour pressure and temperature passing through the wall, condensation has been shown to occur close to the ventilated area and not in the structural wall itself. As a result, the ventilating effect is easily suffi cient to dry out the thermal insulating material.
