    The Committee of the Native Pony Festival was formed in February 2014, after a gap in the calendar wasrealised for an all Native Pony Show.     ANY ABUSIVE LANGUAGE or BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS SHOW OFFICIALS, ANIMALS or FELLOW

    COMPETITORS WILL RESULT IN EXPULSION FROM THE SHOWGROUND and by enter ing thisShow you agree to abide by this and al l of the fol lowing:

    1. All persons entering the showground must have Personal and Public Liability Insurance. TheCommittee will not be held responsible for any damage, loss or injury to any animal, person orproperty whilst on the showground. Under NO circumstances must anyone other than the Judge,Stewards, Competitors and grooms enter the show rings.

    2. The Judges’ decision is final. Any ob jections must be made, in writing, within one hour of theclass/incident and handed to the Secretary with a deposit of £30.

    3. The Committee reserve the right to amalgamate, cancel or divide classes as entries warrant.4. The Committee reserve the right to return or refuse any entry made either by post or on the day.5. Under NO circumstances will entries be substituted and any refunds will be totally at the discretion

    of the committee and will be subject to the £10 admin charge.

    6. In the event of postponement all entries will be carried over to the new date unconditionally.7. In the event of cancellation, refunds MUST be requested in writing (NO emails) and should be sent

    with a SAE enclosed to the Show Secretary within 28 days of the show date and will be subject to a£10 admin charge.

    8. Mountain and Moorland ponies will be shown in accordance to the Breed Society rules.9. In-foal mares may be asked to produce a certificate of service.10. Stallions may not be led or ridden by children under the age of 12 years in accordance with NPS

    rules.11. All trophies will remain the property of the show and must be signed for. They will be held for the

    remainder of the year and must be returned to the show upon request.12. In the interest of safety, excessive assistance or interference from outside the ring will not be

    tolerated.

    13. The Committee reserve the right to carry out random dope testing.14. Dishonoured cheques will incur a £10 administration fee and may result in entries being refused in

    the future.15. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Any dog caught off the lead will result in a £10 fine to be

    donated to the show’s chosen charity.16. Please use the bins provided for litter and no mucking out of horseboxes onto the show field.17. There will be no holding of any classes; competitors enter multiple classes at their own risk.

    All ponies at this show must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland StudBooks.This Show is a qualifier for The NATIONAL PONY SOCIETY SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW to be heldat Malvern from 2nd  –  4th August 2016. All Classes  to be run under National Pony Society Rules2016.You do not need to be a member of The National Pony Society to compete in any class at this Show.The Rules for the NPS can be found on their website www.nationalponysociety.com   All competitors mustbe deemed to have read the present rules of the National Pony Society, and other relevant Native PonySocieties Rules.

    NATIONAL PONY SOCIETY CLASSES

    NPS Mountain and Moorland Qualifying Rounds: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS.Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part-breds are not eligible. Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPSmembers and non-members but only ponies owned by adult NPS Qualifying or Life members are eligible toqualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show at Malvern from 2 nd  - 4th  August 2016.The highest placed pony, if owned by an NPS member, in each class will qualify for the final.Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second ponies are already qualified. 

    NPS/Rosettes Direct Home Produced Ridden Championship - Riders of Home Produced ponies (seedefinition in the NPS Rules Book) can wear a white arm band in classes where this is indicated. Theseponies, if owned by NPS members, are then eligible to qualify for the final at the NPS SummerChampionship Show.  From 2015 all qualifying ponies will receive a qualification card. The Owner’s

    Membership cards MUST be produced in the ring when requested or the qualification will be forfeit. 

    NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championships: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. NPS

    Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a Qualifying or Life

    member of the NPS. A valid membership card must be in the rider’s/handler’s possession on entering the

    ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the

    Champion pony is not a member, or the owner’s membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette

    may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card. If the

    Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification

    card goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. TheSilver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first Reserve (third). Foals

    are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships.

    This Show is also a qualifier for EQUIFEST. The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified willqualify for the relevant EQUIFEST CHAMPIONSHIP to be held at the East of England Showground on the17th – 21st August 2016.

    Classes 1 to 26 are qualifiers for EQUIFEST/LIZ CROSS SHOW TEAM Mountain & Moorland In HandChampionship. The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify.Classes 27 to 31 are qualifiers for EQUIFEST/THE HEWITT FAMILY Open Ridden Mountain & MoorlandChampionship. The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify.

    Classes 45 to 47 are qualifiers for EQUIFEST/JOHN PATON Junior Mountain & Moorland RiddenChampionship. The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify.Class 52 is a qualifier for EQUIFEST/ CAVERNOMA ALLIANCE UK Mountain & Moorland Lead ReinChampionship. The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify.Class 53 is a qualifier for EQUIFEST/CHANTREY FLEMING FAMILY Mountain & Moorland First RiddenChampionship. The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify.Classes 64 to 67 are qualifiers for EQUIFEST/ THE KYNETON SILVERVALE STUD Mountain &Moorland Working Hunter Pony Championship. The two highest placed exhibits not already qualifiedwill qualify.

    Please contact the Equifest office prior to the Native Pony Festival to obtain a qualifying card. Exhibitors willrequire the qualifying cards to be signed by the judge on the day for qualification to be acknowledged.

    TSR HORSEZONE.CO.UK Riders & Inhand Regional Finals - This show is a qualifier for the 2016 TSRRiders/ In hand Regional Finals. Qualify and enter ANY of the Regional Fianls; Central, East Anglia, NorthWest, North East, South East, South, Wales & South West or Scottish. You do not have to be a TSRmember to qualify or enter a final. The Rider/ Handler qualify and can enter any horse/ pony in any numberof finals!

    TSR HORSEZONE.CO.UK Riders Finals  – 1st & 2nd riders in classes 26-70 will qualify and receive aqualification card in the ring.TSR HORSEZONE.CO.UK In hand Finals  – The two highest placed Handlers with a TSR In Hand Cardwill qualify in classes 1-26. Handlers MUST have their cards signed in the ring by the judge/ steward, cards

    are available FREE from the TSR website. Full details at http://www.theshowingregister.co.uk 

    TSR Medal Awards – TSR Members can collect qualification cards and signatures and redeem for a TSRmedal. See TSR website for details. 

    TSR Sash Show

    The highest placed current TSR Member in the following classes 21- 24, 27  – 31, 45  – 47, 48-49, 64-67,

    68-70 will be awarded a TSR Members Sash. Members need to have a copy of their membership number

    in their pocket

    BSHA Grass Roots Championships - With a TSR qualification card you can also enter the BSHA GrassRoots Champs on the 10th Sept at Addington Equestrian Centre - You do not have to be a BSHA member

    TSR Sash Show - The highest placed current TSR Member in the following classes 68-70 will be awarded a TSR

    Members Sash. Members need to have a copy of their membership number in their pocket  

    Open to registered pure bred M&M stallions, mares and geldings, four years old or over. Riders may only ride one pony in each class.

    Class 68  Ponies not exceeding 128cm. Riders must not have attained their 14th birthday by 1st January in thecurrent year.

    Class 69  Ponies exceeding 128 cm but not exceeding 138cm. Riders must not have attained their 16th birthday

    by 1st January in the current year.Class 70  Ponies exceeding 138cm but not exceeding 148cm (except for Dales and Welsh Section D for which

    there is no height restriction). Riders must not have attained their 18th birthday by the 1st January inthe current year.
