Report some of the Academic Activities/Events conducted by the Institution: -
National Youth Day Celebration on 12.01.2015.
To honour Swami Vivekananda, National Youth
Day was celebrated in the college on January 12,
2015. Sh. Satpal Arya, Asso. Prof. of philosophy
highlighted the ideals of Swami Vivekananda as a
great source of inspiration for the Indian youth. So,
it was declared that his birthday will be observed as
National Youth Day.
Special celebration in the Institute This day is of great importance in the academic
calendar and schools and colleges all over the
country. Consequently a speech competition was
also organised under auspices of NSS to mark the occasion. The topic of the competition was “Swami
Vivekananda and his Contribution for the youth
Generation”. Many teachers and students were
present and 50 students participated in the speech
competition. Finally, the results announced and all the participants along with the best performers,
honoured by the prizes. In this way the Youth Day
celebration was completed with joy and inspiration.

Celebration of Bhagat Singh Jayanti on 27-09-2014
The College celebrated 107th Birth Anniversary of
the Martyr Bhagat Singh on 27-09-2014.The
celebration started by paying tribute to the freedom
fighter for his sacrifices towards the nation and its
people. The idol of Martyr Bhagat Singh was
decorated and covered with flowers and Tri-colour.
As the celebration‟s moved forward the crowd
gathered in the seminar hall as Dr Parveen Phogat
was invited as the Guest Speaker to speak a few
words about the great soul.
He enlightened the students with his knowledge
about Shaheed Bhagat Singh and even told the
reason why he was named so, apparently it was this
day that his grandfather and uncle escaped from the
prison of the British and hence ‘Bhagat’.
Smt Sunita Mehta also told the students why
Shaheed Bhagat Singh had such a strong desire to
serve and protect his country. He was 11 or 12
years old when the Jallianwala Bagh massacre took
place, a student of class 6th or class 7th, he had
strong determination and love for his country.
On that day he said that till the day he doesn‟t
throw the britishers out of this country and takes
revenge for all the souls that had been killed in
the Jallianwala Bagh, he won‟t stay calm.
In addition Patriotic Songs, folk songs and
poem-recitations were presented to pay tribute
to the great soul. The complete program was
focused on the vision Bhagat Singh had for the
nation and how we as youngsters can serve our
country.
In the end all the students, teachers and the
college union paid their tribute to the legend on
his birth anniversary.

Run For Unity Campaign on 31.10.2014
On 31 Oct. 2014, the Birth Anniversary of
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was celebrated in the
college premises as Rastriya Ekta Diwas or
Quami Ekta Divas or National Unity Day.
Several educational and interactive programs
i.e. Patriotic Songs, poem-recitation and speech
competitions were organized for students by
the Literary and Cultural Society, of the
college. In the „Run for Unity‟ organized in the
morning, students enthusiastically participated
in a marathon, taking a circular route from the
Institute to Hansi Gate Bhiwani and return.
Faculty, students and staff members of the
Institute took the pledge for upholding the
unity, integrity and security of the nation. The
pledge was administered by Dr. Satvir Singh.
Volunteer students of the National Service
Scheme, participated in cleanliness drive of the
campus and took an oath to maintain the safety
and security of our country. 25 teachers and 150
students coordinated the programme.

Run for Unity on 31-10-2016
On 31 Oct. 2016, the Birth Anniversary of
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was celebrated in the
college premises as Rastriya Ekta Diwas. First
of all Principal Dr. Gianinder Singh
enlightened the students with his knowledge
about Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and even told
the reason why he was named so, apparently it
was his great contribution that united India
after freedom from British rule and hence he
was known as ‘Sardar’. He also administered
the pledge and gave green signal to the ‘Run
for Unity’. The students and teachers
enthusiastically participated in a marathon,
taking a circular route from the Institute to
Hansi Gate, Bhiwani and return. Faculty,
students and staff members of the Institute
took the pledge for upholding the unity,
integrity and security of the nation.

Youth Assembly on 23-02-2017
The College organised one day Youth
Assembly on 23-02-2017 at the campus. The
main objective to organise the assembly was a
deliberative democracy process to draw out
key ideas, policy recommendations, and
encourage direct participation of young
students of colleges from Bhiwani district
engage on the contemporary issues that are
important to youth for their mental health,
homelessness and young people, youth civic
participation, equality and equity for young
people. The Programme was inaugurated by
Sh. Jagat Singh Jakhar, Associate Professor
(Retired) and Principal Sh. Gianinder Singh.
One hundred and sixteen young people from 7
colleges of the District participated in the
assembly, which provided young people a
platform to speak on issues that are important
to them and ensured that a broad range of
views were represented and heard.

World Environment Day Celebration on 05-06-2017
An awareness campaign was carried out on World Environment Day by NSS Units of the college on
05-6-2017. As a part of the campaign the volunteers motivated the students about the ways and
means required to be adopted for proper disposal of the plastic and other waste material to keep the
area clean and avoid the ill effects of plastic pollution on the environment. It was emphasized that a
proper disposal mechanism needs to be put in place to ensure cleanliness all times. During the
campaign, the volunteers and teachers cleaned various location of the college with full enthusiasm. In
this campaign 15 teachers and 100 volunteers contributed their “sharmdan” to clean the college
campus.

Tree Plantation on 22-08-2017
To celebrate the “Van-Mahotasav” an extensive Tree Plantation Programme was organised on 22-08-2017 under
the aegis of NSS Units of the college. The students and teachers contributed to plant saplings in a well-organised
manner. The saplings were supplied by the local municipality corporation. In order to restore the eco-balance of
the afforestation drive was taken with all seriousness. The District forest office initiated the programme and
appreciated the drive taken by volunteers. Anyway, participants were highly enthusiastic to make it a big success.
The students planted saplings, and fenced them and watered the plants. The programme created a great stir among
the general public too.

Cleanliness Camp on 03-10-2017
The Cleanliness camp was organised on 03-10-2017 under “Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat” Abhiyan
Programme on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The main purpose of this programme was to create
awareness among the students regarding message of Gandhi Ji regarding non-violence, piece and
significance of Cleanliness. Under this programme, all NSS Volunteers and NCC Cadets participated.
Even teachers were the essential part of this drive. As a part of this Cleanliness Drive, we had to clean
the whole campus. Our Principal Dr. Satvir Singh initiated the programme by cleaning the corners of the
playground. Then the teachers and students followed suit. 30 Teachers and 133 volunteers coordinated the
campaign

Jal Shakti Abhiyan on 22-07-2018
Water is the most precious gift of nature. It is an essential component of life and is vital for sustenance. Without
water nothing can live, thus water conservation has become a need of the hour. So, we should all stand together
to conserve water to save life. Spreading this message of saving water, students of the college initiated “Jal-Shakti
Abhiyan” (Save water-Save-Life campaign) on 22-07-2018. Volunteers highlighted the facts which are responsible
for the increasing demand of water and also spoke beautiful quotes about its uses and importance. Some simple
methods for saving water like collecting rain water for various purposes, cutting off shower time etc. were
suggested through Posters and banners. The Programme was concluded with a pledge by volunteers to ‘save
water and never waste it’ and a motivation for audience to join the mission. In this campaign 100 NSS volunteers
participated with full dedication.

Hindi Diwas Celebration 14-09-2017
The day marks the adaptation of Hindi language as the official language of India by the Constituent Assembly of
India on 14 September 1949. The decision of using Hindi as official language was ratified by Indian Constitution
via amendment 343 which stated that all government communications will be penned in Hindi (Devanagari
Script). National Hindi Divas (Hindi Day) was observed in the college in collaboration with “Haryana Sahitya
Akadami” on 14 September 2017 to promote Hindi as Matra Bhasha (mother tongue) of India and to propagate
Hindi language and its cultural heritage and values. The day was marked by literary festivals, Hindi poetry
sessions, Hindi essay writing competitions, Hindi speech contests and other events. During Hindi Diwas
celebrations, 15 teachers coordinated the programme and 98 students participated on various events. At the last
Principal Dr. Satvir Singh honoured the winners with prizes.

Celebration of Folk Festival (LOOR) on 15-03-2019
The folk Festival ‘Loor’ was organised in the college to provide inclusive environment regarding Haryanvi culture heritage and rituals among the youngsters. Haryanvi culture is a blend of sports, culture and folk rituals. The chief guest Dr. Raj Kumar Mittal, VC Ch. Bansi Lal University Bhiwani also insisted in his speech that these types of events are helping a lot in making our culture alive. During this folk festival, students presented different folk cultural items such as Skit (Haryanvi), Folk Song, Folk Dance and Rituals etc. In additions they also participated in food festival in which the delicious food of Haryana was cooked and liked by all. This was really a useful and memorable function for all the college under the vicinity of Ch. Bansi Lal University Bhiwani.
