18Future Directions

• Improve the monitoring of the MDGsgeneration of sex, age-disaggregated statistics

• Formulate and improve the estimation methodology

• Study the possibility of formulating an index that would track the whole MDGs/goals and not only by indicators

• Improve the coverage, timeliness and dissemination of MDG data

NATIONAL STATISTICAL COORDINATION BOARD

19Future Directions

• Study on the possibility of setting measurable targets on indicators with no identified targets

• Identify and compile appropriate alternative/proxy indicators in lieu of unavailable data series

• Strengthen agencies/data sources’ commitments on MDG indicators: timeliness, coverage, sustainability
