for Plant Research (Vegetos) are Organizing a
National Seminar on “Microbes and Human
Welfare” on 23-24 September, 2017 at the School
of Life Sciences, Jaipur National University,
Jaipur. The seminar invites scientists, faculty
members, teachers, professionals, research
scholars, students, and others who are involved in
practices and research areas related to
Agricultural, Life Sciences and all applied
sciences. Delegates may also attend the Seminar
without presenting their papers. The Seminar will
provide a platform to enrich and share the
knowledge and expertise in the area of microbial
world and human welfare. We on the behalf of the
organizing committee look forward to welcome
you at the School of Life Sciences, JNU, Jaipur.

INVITATION ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS
Jaipur National University, Jaipur
JNU was established on 21 October, 2007 through an
Ordinance which was subsequently approved by the
State Legislature on 29th March, 2008 by an Act of the
State. UGC recognized JNU under section 2(f) and
empowered to award degrees under section 22 of UGC
Act 1956. The University has Four campuses with 14
Schools which imparts education in Engineering &
Technology; Commerce & Business Management; Life
Sciences; Law & Governance; Computer Science;
Medical Sciences; Education; Humanities; Pharmacy;
Hotel Management; Nursing and Paramedical Courses
which are duly approved by relevant Statutory bodies
like AICTE, MCI, NCTE, PCI, NCI, DEB. This year,
we have applied for Agricultural Faculty also for which
the inspection has already been made.
The University is accredited by NAAC in 2015 and is ranked
amongst 30 best Universities in India (India Today, 26 June 2017).
The University has two auditoria one with seating capacity of 275
and other with 160, both fully equipped with public address
system, projector, including internet facility. Both are fully air
conditioned.
The University has large meeting halls in all four campuses for
press conferences and for meetings of executive. University has its
own hospital with medical college fully equipped with all modern
facilities with best medical staff. The University has guest house,
banking facility, cafeteria, Wi-Fi zones and all other amenities.
The University is situated in the heart of City, hardly 3 Km from
Jagatpura Railway Station, with transport from every corner of
Jaipur, proximity to bus stop, railway station, market, malls and
multiplexes. Jaipur is well connected by road, train and air.
UNESCO has declared Jaipur as a tourist city based on its rich
cultural heritage.
The major tourist attractions are the Amber Fort, the Jal
Mahal Palace, the Hawa Mahal and the world famous
Royal Albert Hall. This walled city is also famous for its
delectable Rajasthani cuisine, which can be savoured at
places like the Laxmi Mishthan Bhandar, the birthplace of
the world famous sweet pancakes called ‘Ghevar”, “mawa
kachori” at Rawat Sweets and Dal, Bati Choorma at all
hotels across the city. The world renowned heritage
village “Chowki Dhani” is a tourist hotspot. As souvenirs,
one can collect the blue pottery near Hawa Mahal, the
organic hand block printed fabrics and hand carved
“mojaris” at reasonable prices. The pink city is infused
with warm hospitality and festive fervor with several
comfortable hotels near the Jaipur National University.
During September, there will be a pleasant weather.
Society for Plant Research (SPR) & VEGETOS
Society for Plant Research was established in 1988 in the
Department of Botany, Bareilly College, Bareilly, a premier
College of northern India having Prof S. K. Bhatnagar as its
Founder Secretary General and it was named as “Society for
Plant Research”. The Society is having its Editorial office in
the College of Biotechnology, SVP University of Agriculture
& Technology, Meerut, 250110, India and Administrative
Office at D-204, Green Estate, Modipuran, Meerut-250110.
A journey started with an objective, the zeal to work and
devotion. The society was established with a mandate to
provide open platform to the researchers in various
disciplines of Botany, Plant Sciences, Agriculture, Forestry,
Environmental Sciences and modern sciences like Plant
Biotechnology etc. for publishing their researches in the
journal VEGETOS (Established in 1988). Society organizes
Conferences & Seminar under its umbrella to provide an
open platform for scientific discussions, exchange of views
and interaction among scientists. Publication of research
journal VEGETOS was finalized and the society feel proud
in announcing that it has completed 29 successful years of
service to the scientific community through multifarious
academic activities and achievements to its credit which has
established its name at international level. This society has so
far organized 14 national and three international conferences
on upcoming topics of national and international interests
that includes Biotechnology, Biodiversity, Eco-restoration
and related thrust areas since 1994. It has focused on SPR
Chapters in various parts of the country. SPR is publishing a
quarterly International journal VEGETOS (ISSN 0970-4078,
Online ISSN 2229-4473) which is being indexed by SCI,
CABI, Researchgate, MIAR, Scopous, Indian Science
Abstract, MAAPA and NAAS and many other data bases.
The Society for Plant Research has worldwide circulation of its
journal VEGETOS and has launched Almamater Series of
Lectures besides nominating FELLOWS and Conferring
prestigious awards to felicitate and honour globally renowned
researchers. VEGETOS is now having its own website
www.vegetosindia.org

Oral SessionEach session will have one Session Keynote and one Invited
lecture of 15 minutes each followed by Oral presentations of
8 -10 minutes.

Poster SessionPoster Sessions will be section wise and a committee of
experts will interact with the presenting author(s) on site.
Three best posters of students will be selected .
Parallel sessions will run if the conditions permit to do so.

for publication in the proceedings.

payment basis, guest house @ Rs 1000/- per
room per day; hostel @ Rs. 400/- per person.
