National Level Experimental Skill Test Department of Physics Sri GVG Visalakshi College for Women, Udumalpet and National Anveshika Network of India A Programme of Indian Association of Physics Teachers Circular to schools and colleges Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) is an organization committed to upgrade the quality of Physics Education in India at all levels. National Anveshika Network of India (NANI) is a Programme of IAPT working for uplifting Physics Education at all levels. NANI is conducting National Anveshika Experimental Skill Test (NAEST) at two levels a) School level, 9 th – 12 th Standard and b) College level, to encourage the culture of doing experiments. The Department of Physics, Sri GVG Visalakshi College for Women, Udumalpet is going to conduct the NAEST Screening test on 27 th August at 1.30 p.m. in the Conference Hall. Based on their performance, students will be selected to participate in the Preliminary round, Semi finals and finals. Semi finals and finals will be conducted at SGM- IAPT, Anveshika, Kanpur.

Award Ceremony Function
An extraordinary meeting was conducted by the department of Physics on
12th October 2018 in the Conference Hall of Sri G.V.G Visalakshi College for Women,
Udumalpet to distribute the Prizes and certificates for the winners of NAEST 2018
prelims. Dr Pon Pandiyan, Professor and Head, Department of Nanoscience and
Nanotechnology, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore is the Chief Guest for the
function and he delivered a motivational address to the participants of NAEST 2018
and UG & PG Physics students and then he distributed the certificates and prizes for
the winners of prelims NAEST 2018 and congratulates all the participants of prelims
NAEST 2018. In his address, Dr Pon Pandiyan enlightened the audience the
importance of learning Physics principles, enjoying learning science by giving
examples from different fields of Physics. Finally he conducted with the remark to the
students “Try to learn Science not study and contribute to the society.”
