I am proud to announce that NITHM is organizing its 1stNITHM All IndiaFide Rated Chess Tournament- 2017 in association with Telangana Chess Association at NITHM campus, Gachibowli, Hyderabad from 3rd to 8th August 2017. Anatoly Karpov, one of the greatest players of all time former World Champion, had fondly said “Chess is everything – Art, Science and sport, and our institute holds all the three very close to its heart. The institute actively encourages and promotes sports and games, including Chess and no wonder, the achievements of its students in the field are impressive.I am sure that the idyllic campus of NITHM would provide and ideal setting for this wonderful game of chess and a regarding experience to all the participants. We are bringing a tournament souvenir to commemorate the occasion. To the competitors and spectators who have come here from across the country, I wish you all the best for a successful event. While you are here, I encourage you to explore some of the amazing experiences on offer in the heritage city of Hyderabad.

Tournament Rules:

AICF Registration for 2017-2018 is must for all participants. AICF Registration

fee Rs. 250/-, Telangana Registration fee Rs.200/- (For Telangana State

Players) accepted at venue. New players should bring stamp size or passport

size photo graph & copies of date of birth certificate and residence proof. Latest

Fide Rules Applicable. No Sharing of Prize Money. All players must report at

venue by 11 am for verification of certificates & payment proofs etc. If fail their

names will not be consider for first round pairing. Tie Break: Direct Encounter,

BH (Cut 1 least scoring opponent), BH (No Cut ), SB (No Cut), Greater Number of

Victories(including forfeits)

Eligibility : All Players Rated and Un-Rated Players. No Age Limit.

Round Duration: 4hours (90mins+increment 30 sec ) Walk-over will be 30 minutesfrom start the of round (however clock will be running)
