Information for Provisional Admission to B.Tech./B.Arch. Programmes under JoSAA

2020/CSAB 2020 Process

a) Who had SECURED the seat allotted during JoSAA-2020 rounds but did not report

during 16th to 21st November, 2020

b) Who have retained/upgraded their seat of JoSAA rounds in CSAB Special rounds I and

II

c) Who have been allotted a new seat and confirmed the same in CSAB Special rounds I

and II

are required to complete the following steps of process for provisional admission to

B.Tech./B.Arch. programmes at National Institute of Technology Patna for the academic year

2020-21(July-Dec 2020) during 25th Nov 2020 to 1st Dec 2020, 5 PM:

i. Print out of Online Admission Form ( Click here to fill up online application form

Steps to fill up this online form is attached with this Notice for your reference. Link for making

remaining payment, if any is part of this Admission form)

ii. Affidavit by the student regarding anti-ragging (Format Attached)

iii. Affidavit by the parent/guardian regarding anti-ragging (Format Attached)

iv. Medical Certificate should be issued from the registered Medical Practitioners/ Govt. Doctors

(Format Attached)

v. Affidavit with respect to Gap year, if any (i.e. reason for discontinuity between passing year of

qualifying examination and year of admission to B. Tech/ B. Arch program.) (Format Attached)

vi. Affidavit by student and parent regarding submission of documents (Format Attached)

vii. Four passport size photographs identical to the one uploaded during JEE(Main) 2020

viii. Original Conduct Certificate from the school/Board/Institute last Attended

ix. Original Migration or Transfer Certificate from the School/institute last Attended

x. Admit card of JEE (Main)/JEE (Main) score card 2020 for Paper-I/Paper-II as applicable

xi. Provisional Seat Allotment Letter /Provisional Admission Letter generated from JoSAA-

2020/CSAB2020

xii. Proof of seat acceptance fee paid/Remaining Fees paid to either JoSAA 2020/CSAB2020/NIT

Patna

xiii. Photo identity card [issued by govt. agency/last attended school/Class XII admit card]

xiv. Date of birth proof [Class X Mark Sheet/Certificate/Aadhar Card]

xv. Class XII (or equivalent) board mark sheet and Pass certificate.

xvi. Certificate of category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS), if applicable, as per Government of

India format, available on the JoSAA-2020/CSAB-2020 website, issued by the competent

authority. In case of OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS category, the certificate must be issued on or after

April 01, 2020. Please note that (i) Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL) issued by Maharashtra

State must be validated by Social Welfare department (in case of SC and OBC-NCL category)

and Tribal Welfare department(in case of ST category) of Maharashtra Government. The

SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates of Maharashtra State have to produce their caste validity

certificate in the format available on JoSAA-2020/CSAB-2020 website. (ii) ST certificates from

Tamil Nadu state must be issued by the concerned Revenue Divisional Officer

xvii. Income Certificate, if applicable issued by Revenue officer not below the rank of Tehsildar, for

most economically backward students to get remission of the Tuition fee

xviii. Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), if applicable, issued by the competent authority.

Refer JoSAA-2020/CSAB-2020 website for format. The certificate will be rejected if the

disability is less than 40%.

xix. OCI/PIO card/ Passport, if applicable

Note: If the original certificates are not in English/Hindi, English/Hindi version/translation of

such certificates, duly certified by the Principal/Director or other competent authority of the

graduating Institute, will be required during the verification of documents.

Scanned copy of all the above certificates/documents have to be sent in a single zip

folder on ar.acad@nitp.ac.in with subject line UG Admission:_ Candidate Name,

JEE(Main) Application ID:*****, Deptt. Name during 25 Nov - 01 Dec 2020, 5PM.

For Example, if your JEE(Main) Application ID is 1111111111, your name is Prabhat

Kumar and your allotted deptt. is Mechanical Engineering then your subject line

should read as

NOTE:

1. Whenever you will be allowed to come inside the campus of NIT Patna, then Physical

verification will be carried out. If any discrepancy is found in the documents submitted

during online provisional admission, then his/her admission will stand cancelled.

2. Classes will be commenced tentatively from 1st December 2020 (Tuesday). Each student

will receive mail from Microsoft Team regarding online classes. Time Table and related

information of online classes can be seen on Institute web site.

The following relaxations are given below to the socially and economically backward students admitted:

1. The SC/ST/PH students admitted in session 2020-21 shall get complete tuition fee waiver. However, they will

have to pay fee under remaining heads. The candidate has to submit the caste certificate issued from the officer

not below the rank of Circle Officer/Tehsildar for getting the benefit of full remission of the tuition fee.

2. The most economically backward students (whose family income is less than Rs. 1.00 lakh per annum) shall get

full remission of the tuition fee. However, they will have to pay fee under remaining heads. The candidate has to

submit the Income Certificate issued from the officer not below the rank of Circle Officer/Tehsildar for getting

the benefit of full remission of the tuition fee.

3. The other economically backward students (whose family income is between Rs. 1.00 lakh to 5.00 lakh per

annum) shall get the remission of 2/3rd

of the tuition fee. However, they will have to pay fee under remaining

heads. The candidate has to submit the Income Certificate issued from the officer not below the rank of Circle

Officer/Tehsildar for getting the benefit of the remission of 2/3rd

of the tuition fee.

5. Fill form and click Next. Compulsory field will be marked as *. Without filling up compulsory

field, this you will not be able to proceed next page for Address Details.

6. Then to fill up Academic details. After filling up click next

You need to tick check box, if applicable in your case otherwise you leave the box uncheck.

8. Here, you must click both check boxes for final submission.

9. After Final Submission of form, Click Step 3: Upload Certificate.

10. Then Step 4: Upload Photo and Signature

11. Then Step 5: Print Application Form

12. Then Step 6 : Payment. Here you will see link to make payment. After clicking link, it will redirect

HDFC portal to make payment. Here you have to enter JEE(Main) Application No. Then you will

able to see your name, Category and amount in Rs. After making payment you will see receipt of

HDFC. Download/print the same receipt.

13. After this you follow instruction given in NOTICE to submit hard copy and soft copy of

Application form along with all documents listed in NOTICE.
