Most of Mazowsze’scostumes are made by folkartists using traditionaltechniques characteristic ofthe given region. Thematerials used are natural,such as wool, linen, or hemp.The artists’ professionalskills enable even theŁowicz-style costumes toswirl in dance as if delicate,light netting, even though itcan weigh almost 31 pounds(up to 14 kilograms).

Mazowsze is a real worldtraveler. They performed atnearly 7,000 concerts inPoland and abroad, foralmost 23 million people.They crossed 1,400,000miles (2,300,000 kilometers).They went abroad over 200times, visiting fifty countrieson six continents.

To every concert Mazowszetakes about one thousandcostumes and about twentytons of luggage.

The technical crew needsbetween six and eight hoursto get everything ready fora performance.

During one concert, eachartist changes costumesbetween seven and tentimes, and they have nomore than three minutes foreach change.
