• Nation-wide roll out of e-District MMP planned

– Estimated outlay : Rs. 2400 crores

State Wide Area Network (SWAN)

• Approved outlay: Rs 3,334.00 crore; Sanctioned: Rs1964.97 cr.

• Proposals from 33 States/ UTs approved

• Implementation completed - 7 States/UTs

• Implementation in advanced stage - 12 States /UTs

• Implementation in all States/UTs to be completed by June, 2010

State Data Center (SDC)

• SDC planned for each State to host State-level e-Governance

Applications/Data and act as Data repository

• Approved outlay : Rs.1623.20 crore; Sanctioned: Rs.1378.50 cr.

• Proposals of 31 States/UTs have been approved

• 20 SDCs expected to be set-up & operationalised by June, 2010

State Portal, State Service Delivery Gateway

(SSDG), e-Form Application• Project will enable:

– Citizens to download forms

– Submit their applications electronically with the help of e-Forms hosted on

the State Portal (SP) and routed through a common services gateway

• Project will guarantee:

– Assured electronic delivery of the request from the citizen to the specified

field office of the government department

– The electronic acknowledgement of successful submission of Application /

Request from department to the citizen

– Ascertaining the status of Application / Request at any point in time

Capacity Building Scheme (CB Scheme)

• Approved outlay: Rs. 313 crore (DIT share Rs 189.58 cr. & ACA share Rs. 123.42 cr.)

• Released Rs. 109.53 cr. (DIT - RS. 62.90 cr. , ACA Rs. 46.63 cr. )so far

• Key Components

– Setting up of Empowered Committee at DIT, GoI

• Setting-up of State e-Governance Mission Teams (SeMTs)

– Imparting specialized training, organizing orientation programmes for SeMTs, Policy

and Decision makers

– Strengthening Training Institutions in States

• Empowered Committee (EC) constituted to oversee the implementation of the scheme

• Guidelines for setting up of SeMTs and organizing Training issued

• A Capacity Building Management Cell (CBMC) has been set-up in DIT for overall

coordination and implementation

Awareness and Communication

• Create awareness among citizens about e-Governance

• Build a distinctive brand of NeGP across Departments and motivate all

stakeholders

• NeGP logo and tagline have been developed

• NeGP awareness stall being frequently put-up at key events and

• Guidelines being developed for use by other Departments to design

their own specific communication approaches
