The Veritas Forum is a fast-growing, strategicministrythatpartnerswithChristianthoughtleaders,professorsand campus ministries to engage universities and thebroader public square with life’s most important

questions. Veritas Forums put the Christian faith in dialogue with other beliefs and inviteparticipantsfromallbackgroundstopursueTruthtogether.

Theministry’scoreinitiative,VeritasForums,isaseriesofhigh-profileuniversityprogramsthatengage students and faculty from a range of worldviews in intellectually rigorous dialoguearoundlife’shardestquestionsandtherelevanceofJesusChristtothosequestions.

The Veritas Forum also publishes thought-provoking content for broader audiences andprovides auniqueplatform for leadingChristian academics and innovators tobecomepublicintellectuals.

The first Veritas Forum took place at HarvardUniversity in 1992 and in the quarter centurysince that first Forum, more than 600,000 students, faculty, and university communitymembersat200universitiesinNorthAmerica,EuropeandAsiahaveparticipated.

TheNeed

Universitystudentsaregraduatingintothemostcomplexworldinhumanhistory.Tonavigatethisworldstudentswillneedskillandvocationaltraining,whichthemodernresearchuniversityprovides sowell. Theywill also need deep reservoirs of wisdom and grace only a biblically-groundedfaithinChristcanprovide.Unfortunately,overonethirdofcurrentstudentshavenoreligious affiliation and only forty percent consider religion (including Christianity) to beimportantintheirlives.Simplyput,foranincreasinglylargeproportionofstudentsJesusChristisconsideredirrelevant.

Compounding this, many leading universities (thoughcertainlynotall)aredrawingaway fromthegrandprojectof human formation at the center of the university.Students are largely left to their own devices to define avisionforalifeworthleading.

TheVeritasForumexists tomeet thosedual challenges. Itexists to help students and faculty ask life’s big questionsandtopresentChristastheanswertothosequestions.

The Opportunity

TheNationalDirectorofForumswillberesponsibleforleadingVeritas’UniversityForumsandrelatedactivitiesinNorthAmerica,including:

• Impact-drivenprogramdesign:

o InvestsignificantlyinreformingtheprogramdesignandimplementingapproachforVeritasForumsinNorthAmerica,workingcloselywiththeExecutiveDirectorandotherSeniorLeaders.Thisworkwillinclude:

§ Revising our understanding of campus minister and student plannerneeds and objectives, in light of a changing university and campusministrylandscape.

§ Takingadesign-drivenapproachtoprototyping,pilotingandscalingnewlarge and small-scale Forum programming, to meet the needs of ourcampuspartnersandstudents.

§ Leading the development of new resources and tools to deliver Forumprogramming,workingcloselywithourcontentteam.

§ Translating the revised Forum approach(s) into annual objectives andtargets.

o The role will also contribute to other pilot projects related to new Veritasinitiatives,includingourongoingVeritasLabsandVeritasCitiesprojectsamongstothers.

• LeadandcontinuetobuildtheteamofVeritasRegionalDirectorsinNorthAmericatodeliverimpact-drivenprogramexecution

o DeliveronannualForumtargetsandobjectives,inlightoftheprogramdesignabove.

o SettargetsandobjectivesforRegionalDirectorsandprovideongoingcoaching,managementandsupporttoequipRDstomeetobjectives.

o Buildoperatingsystems,toolsandcapabilitybuildingresourcestosupportRegionalDirectorsastheybuildrelationshipswithandservecampusministryteams,conveyavisionforVeritasForumsandplan,executeandfollow-uponForums.

Responsibilities

o LeadongoingbuildingoftheRegionalDirectorteamandotherneededrolesfortheNAForumsteam,fosteringasustainable,thrivingteamtocollaborativelyservestudents,campusministrypartners,anduniversities.

• BuildandleadstrategicpartnershipswithVeritaspartners

o Continue to build and manage strategic and operational partnerships withChristian ministries and non-Christian organizations across North America, tointegratetheVeritasForumintolong-termplansforuniversityengagement.

• JointheSeniorLeadershipteamfortheVeritasForum

The ideal candidate will have at least 7+ years of work experience and a track record ofleadershipinacampusministryand/orperformancedrivenenvironment(e.g.,campusministryleadershipexperience,start-upexperience,law,managementconsultingetc.).ThisrolewillbebasedatVeritasheadquartersinCambridge,MA.

Qualifiedapplicantsshould:

• BeamatureandgrowingChristian.TheirpassionforChristshouldbegroundedintheregulardisciplinesofBiblestudy,prayerandfellowshipwithotherbelieversinthecontextofalocalchurch,andbeevidencedbythefruitoftheSpiritintheirlives.

• Resonatewiththethoughtful,rigorousexplorationoftheChristianfaithandwillconnectwellwithcampusministrypartnerswhoarehighlyeducated,well-readandembracearobustspirituallifeandanhistoricevangelicalfaith,exercisingboththemindandheart.

• Haveatleast7+yearsofrelevantworkexperience,eitherwithinauniversityorcampusministrycontextorotherperformance-driven,privatesectororganizations(e.g.,start-upexperience,law,consulting,finance,non-profitslikeTeachforAmericaetc.)

• Beanexperiencedteamleader,includingseveralyearsofexperience:o Recruitingandhiringteammembers.o Managingandcoachingteammemberstoachieveaggressiveperformancegoals.o Haveademonstratedtrackrecordofcultivatingtrust-basedrelationshipsthat

allowsthemtoinfluenceandmobilizecolleaguesandpartners.

Qualifications

• Behighlyentrepreneurialandself-directed,withthepotentialtoexperiment,pilotandscalesignificantnewareasofengagementforVeritas,includingleadingandcontinuingtobuildtheForumteam

• Demonstrateexcellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills,alongwithstronganalyticalthinkingandproblemsolvingabilities

• Haveapassionfortheuniversity,intellectualgraspofthestrategicroleoftheuniversityanditsideasinAmericanculture

• Possessapassionforideas-drivenministryengagementandgrasptheneedsandopportunitiesforthegospeltorelatetoandshapeculture

• Abilitytotravel~25%oftheyearonaverage;workcloselywithministryleaders;andmanageadministrativeresponsibilities

• Haveabachelor’sdegree.Agraduatedegreeisaplus.
