In this connection ASSOCHAM constitute The National Council for Bond Market. The National Council For Bond Market is an endeavor to create an environment that facilitates the growth of a robust corporate bond market in India. The national council for bond market includes participants like covered bond issuers, Analysts, Investment Bankers, Trustee, Rating Agencies and a wide range of other Interested Stakeholders.

This Council is made for the purpose of development of Bond Market in India. There are various types of bonds in the Indian Markets. These include govt. bonds, state development bonds, tax free bonds, corporate bonds, bond issued by banks and other financial institution. The growth of the Economy depends on developments of each of these segments and the bond market in particular.

The core objective of the national council of the Bond Market can be defined in one word as “CAPE”. Through CAPE we aim to excel in our ambitions of creating a robust bond market in the Indian economy.

We have cultivated positive relationships with regulatory, fiscal and government authorities and media outlets around the world. We are unparalleled in our advocacy of the bond market industry domestically, explaining the value to the media, and to the general public. NCBM shall come up with recommendations and concrete action plans to further deepen the distribution network for Indian Bond market.

NCBM members have been chosen from different sectors of the economy and based on seminars and webinars each year held in the key financial hubs.

Our core objective is to provide leadership to the Indian Bond Market industry and to be its pre‐eminent voice globally. Our team engages proactively and constructively in shaping the bond markets reform through debate, drawing upon the expertise and diversity of our membership.
