Getting Your Customers Back on Track (Claims Scenarios)Break-in at facility
Your customer’s manufacturing facility is broken into, causing damage to existing equipment, as well as equipment that was recently delivered, but not yet installed. The customer had also just finished a short run of products for an upcoming tradeshow that was currently unsold, and the break-in resulted in damage to these products.
With the EDGE Complete policy, the customer would be covered for the equipment (new and older), as well as the replacement cost for the unsold stock they had on hand.
Off-site power outage
A fire at a power generation plant located 95 km away causes the power to go out at your customer’s location. According to the local authority, the power outage will last at least two days, but could be up to a week. The initial outage already damaged the stock the customer had on hand, and with a delivery upcoming for a large order, the customer decides to temporarily relocate to a second location with power, but will incur moving costs and rental fees.
With EDGE Complete , the customer is covered for the loss of stock at their location, and will be reimbursed for your expenses to use the second location to keep their business running in the meantime.
On-premises fire
A fire on your customer’s property causes damage to their hotel, cooking equipment, décor, and computer systems, including their guest booking system and inventory information. The fire suppression systems deployed after a fire alarm was set off.
EDGE Complete provides coverage not only for the customer’s building and contents, but the extra expenses incurred for inspecting and recharging their fire suppression systems and re-programming and replacing their critical business electronic systems.
Roof collapse
Snow load causes the roof of your customer’s retail store to collapse, damaging stock and their digital point-of-salesystems. The building is deemed beyond repair and the entire policy limit must be used to reconstruct the building.
With the EDGE Complete solution, the customer would have additional coverage for debris removal expenses and expenses related to reprogramming and replacing the information in their point-of-sale system. Plus, if the loss were to happen during peak season, coverage would extend to cover the additional stock on hand.
