Argentina has a representative democracy

for its government. Argentina has two major parties in its system, the Justicialist Party and the Radical Civic Union. Both parties are fairly even in

support. The current Argentinian president is Cristina Fernandez de

Kirchner, a female president!

CONTEMPORARY POLITICAL ISSUES

Argentina’s economy is strong based on exports.

In 2009, their export worth coming from the US was $55.8 billion.

They are known as one of the top ranking

agricultural producers in the world. Argentina’s manufacturing is the

largest of the nation and is a big part of why it can

produce so much.

MAJOR ECONOMIC THEMES

Argentina, though being a largely immigrated and colonial country, is

now considered autonomous. However, Argentina’s borders are surrounded by nations, so they

are forced to constantly work out issues with their neighboring nations. Argentina’s closest

international partner is Brazil. Argentina’s focus is to strengthen

the relationship with Latino nations more then just being allies

with the US.

DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS

Argentina is a country as unique as any yet

similar in many fashions. From colonial

to autonomous, Argentina will play a

huge role in the future of Southern American trends and innovation. They will lead the way!
