The AgriSafe     program is aninitiative led by the NationalCenter for Farmer Health(NCFH), a partnership betweenWestern District Health Service(WDHS) and Deakin Universityand originated at WDHS inHamilton. The program providesinnovative agriculturaloccupational health screeningand aims to improve the health,wellbeing and safety of farmers,their families, and agriculturalworkers.

The aim of AgriSafe     clinics isto raise awareness, enhanceknowledge and prevent seriousinjuries that may be prevalent inevery type of farming enterpriseincluding cropping, viticulture,horticulture, aquaculture andlivestock production.

What does an appointmentinvolve?

Prior to your appointment youwill be asked to complete aquestionnaire to enable yourvisit to be tailored to yourrequirements. Initialcomprehensive healthassessments take 1.5 - 2 hours tocomplete.

We can also provide:

-Information regarding farmhazards -Personal protective equipment selection, fitting and sales       -Educational sessions forcommunity groups, agriculturaland health professionals       -Involvement with research anddata collection
